Kings Narrative is looking for 2 Trainee Cultural Program Facilitators to join our team in Alice Springs.

This role is open to Aboriginal men and young men who are ready to learn, grow and step into leadership.

You’ll be supported to build skills in:
🔥 Workshop facilitation
🔥 Men’s camps & on-country programs
🔥 Trauma-informed practice
🔥 Community engagement & leadership

This is a hands-on role involving office, community and bush work — including travel and camping during the cooler months.

âś… Based in Alice Springs

✅ No experience needed — willingness to learn is what matters

Ten men. Two Nights. On Country.

We were back out at Utju this week — and this is what it looks like when culture is alive and strong.

Young men learning to make spears and boomerangs from the old people. Finding witchetty grubs. Cleaning sacred sites. Listening to Tjukurrpa stories around the fire under the stars.

When we asked what they loved most about being out bush, every man gave the same answer.

The peace and quiet.

This is what healing looks like for our men. Not a program. Not a service. Country.

This men’s only, Aboriginal-led training is designed for Aboriginal men working in community, wellbeing, healing, and support roles who want to strengthen their trauma-informed facilitation skills and deepen their healing practice.

Across five days on Country, participants will:
• Build culturally grounded trauma-informed facilitation skills
• Learn practical healing approaches including yarning and story work
• Strengthen community-centred responses to trauma
• Develop self-care strategies to reduce burnout and vicarious trauma
• Gain skills aligned with We Al-li trauma training

Because ending violence against women and girls isn’t “women’s business” — it’s everyone’s responsibility, and men must be accountable.

During 16 Days of Activism, Kings Narrative stands with all women and girls and joins the call to UNiTE to End Digital Violence.

Playing our part means:
• Calling out harmful behaviour — in person and online.
• Not laughing along or staying quiet when mates disrespect women.
• Checking our own actions and taking feedback without defensiveness.
• Creating safety in DMs, group chats, and workplaces.
• Teaching our young fellas what respect really looks like.

Real strength is respect. Real leadership is accountability.

Let’s play our part — every day.

During 16 Days of Activism, Kings Narrative is standing with all women and girls and backing the call to UNiTE to End Digital Violence.

For us, “showing up” looks like:
• Calling out disrespect, harassment, and victim-blaming — online and in person
• Checking in on the women in our families, workplaces, and communities.
•Listening and believing women’s experiences.
• Being accountable for our own behaviour and holding our mates to a higher standard
•Helping create safety in DMs, comments, group chats, and at home.

Strong isn’t loud.
Strong is respectful. Strong protects dignity. Strong men show up.
