A Proud Moment for Ampilatwatja!

Over the past few days, our Directors Darryl, Ellwin, Juliet and Lulu travelled to Alice Springs for the AMSANT General Members Meeting, joining Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services from across the Northern Territory.

One of the highlights was seeing Darryl, Ellwin and CEO Michelle share Ampilatwatja Health Centre's Year in Review, talking about the achievements we've celebrated together, the challenges we've worked through, and the exciting opportunities ahead for our community.

We're proud of everything that's been achieved through the hard work of our Board, staff and community. From strengthening healthcare services to creating local jobs and training opportunities, every step forward has been made possible by working together.

We encourage everyone in the community to keep supporting your health service. Come in for your health checks, take part in our programs, share your ideas and feedback, and encourage your family and friends to access the services available. The more we work together, the stronger and healthier our community will be.

Thank you to AMSANT for bringing everyone together to share stories, learn from one another and celebrate the important work happening across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in the NT.

The team at Ampilatwatja Health Centre Aboriginal Corporation would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kennards Hire Foundation and Miles Advisory Partners for their generous donation of two Radical-7 Pulse Co-Oximeter. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

This valuable piece of equipment will significantly strengthen our ability to support the early detection, monitoring, and management of anaemia within our community. The Radical-7 provides non-invasive haemoglobin monitoring, allowing our clinical team to assess patients more efficiently and support timely intervention and follow-up care. 🩸πŸ‘₯

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, commitment, and support of remote Aboriginal healthcare. Your contribution will have a lasting positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our community for years to come. Thank you for helping us make a difference. ✨

WALTJA & BOXING CONNECT VISIT - NAIDOC WEEK πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

A big thank you to the teams from Waltja and Boxing Connect for visiting Ampilatwatja this week. It was great to have you here supporting our community, providing food and running great training activities for the kids and community members during the NAIDOC Week. πŸ’«

We also had a fantastic turnout at the Men’s BBQ last Wednesday! πŸ₯Š The team from Boxing Connect spent time yarnin' with the men about the importance of our mob, staying united, and looking after one another by keeping the conversation going. They also spent the afternoon training at the oval with the footy team and sharing dinner. πŸ–

Lastly, a huge shoutout to Waltja for their generous food donation. Thanks to them, we held a special BBQ today for the kids to celebrate the very last day of the school holidays! πŸ”

Thank you to everyone who came down, participated, and helped out. Stronger together! πŸ’ͺ✨
