Hi, I’m Charlie! I’m a Speech Pathologist who brings warmth and fun to sessions, because I believe the best learning happens when children are engaged. I love tailoring therapy to each child’s interests and supporting them to build confidence in their communication. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my dog, or looking for a new delicious place to eat with my loved ones.

Working on identifying the first sound in words doesn’t have to feel like hard work, especially when games are involved.

Our Read3-trained therapists have been incorporating onset dominoes into literacy sessions, and our clients have been loving the activity!

To wrap up the session, we finished with another all-time favourite- Guess Who😍

Have you heard of book sharing? It’s a simple and effective way of reading with your child using strategies that support early speech, language, and literacy development.

While reading together, you can introduce and label new vocabulary, ask WH questions, model a variety of sentence structures, and work on skills such as storytelling, sequencing, and predicting what might happen next!

Here are some of our favourite books to use during book-themed speech therapy sessions📚📖

This week’s PD covered the CTOPP-2! It is a norm-referenced assessment used to identify phonological processing difficulties in clients aged 4- 24 years.

We are adding another great tool to the literacy assessment battery! This helps us better understand our clients’ underlying literacy difficulties so we can better support their literacy development. ✍️

Hi, I’m Laura, a Speech Pathologist and the newest member of the Talk-Time team. You may recognise me from when I did my final student placement here in 2021!

I’m excited to be part of this wonderful team and to get to know all the children and families at the clinic.

I’m passionate about working with children and adolescents to improve their communication skills, while celebrating their strengths and uniqueness. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading and running around after my two little ones!
