The Week That Was 🌞🌿

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful week of friendship, learning and staying active. Highlights included morning tea in the sunshine, sensory experiences, arts & craft, seated exercises, our Canadian-themed cultural morning tea 🇨🇦, Hoy, David Reeve’ entertainment 🎶 and our much-loved Tuesday Ice Cream Cart 🍦.

A big thank you to our wonderful staff for making the week so special! 💕👏

🌿 The Week That Was! 🌿

What a wonderful week we’ve had! 💛

Our residents enjoyed all their regular favourites, including Hoy, Exercises, Chapel, the Ice Cream Cart, Music with David and Painting — plenty of opportunities for connection, creativity, movement and, of course, a little fun! 🎨🎶🍦

We also had a very special outing to Byron Bay Lighthouse, where we enjoyed the beautiful coastal scenery and were lucky enough to spot some whales! 🐋🌊 What a lovely day out! Thanks to Neil for driving us!

And today we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day with a special lunch prepared for our wonderful staff. ❤️ A big thank you to everyone who works so hard to make each day special for our residents. Your care, compassion and dedication are truly appreciated.

Another week full of laughter, creativity, community and wonderful memories! 🌸

This week, our staff swapped their uniforms for comfy PJs and enjoyed a day full of laughs, smiles, and a little extra comfort! We even had some of our wonderful residents join in the fun, proving you're never too old for a Pyjama Day.

A big thank you to everyone who got into the spirit - thankfully no one hit the snooze button! 😂💤

The week that was at Adventist Senior Living 🌞

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful week of friendship and fun, including Chapel Service with Chaplain Christopher, a festive Christmas in July luncheon, foot peddles, Wellness program with Michael, Arts & Craft, Puppy cuddles Hoy, music by Bill & Ann and David Reeves, and our popular Ice Cream Cart. 🍦🎶

A big thank you to our amazing staff, volunteers, and work experience student Harry for your care, kindness, and dedication to our residents. 💙

Yesterday, our Camellia Way residents enjoyed a fun sensory activity, decorating icing treats with a variety of colourful sweet toppings. It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage creativity, conversation, and enjoyment.

A big thank you to our Camellia Way staff, lifestyle team member, Aimee, and work experience student, Harry, for making the activity such a success!

It was a lovely week of friendship, fun, and just the right amount of mischief.

We gathered for Chapel Services with Chaplain Christopher and celebrated a few birthdays 🎉

The week also featured foot pedal exercises, Bingo, arts and crafts, a much-loved bus trip, a Bastille Day 🇨🇵 celebration, trivia, entertainment from Bruce Worrall and David Reeves, and our ever-popular Ice Cream Cart. 🍦🎶

Residents enjoyed a lovely French-themed celebration with trivia, a word search, and a special morning tea. Thank you to our hospitality team for the homemade croissants and sweet treats. 🥐

The Week That Was at Adventist Senior Living Alstonville 🌞🌿

Our residents enjoyed another wonderful week of friendship, fun and meaningful engagement.

We gathered for Chapel Services with our Chaplain, Christopher, held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9:30am. We also celebrated the birthdays of residents Patsy Gordon and Merle Rankin. 🎉

To mark NAIDOC Week, residents enjoyed poems written by resident Lyn Lockery, sensory cooking with Robert in Camellia Way making delicious damper, handprint colouring, and other themed activities.

The week also included foot pedal exercises, the much-loved game of Hoy, music and laughter with entertainer David Reeves, and our ever-popular Ice Cream Cart. 🍦🎶

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful week filled with meaningful connections, laughter, and engaging activities. From our regular Chapel Services, nail pampering, and active games to fantastic musical entertainment from Brendon of Heartbeat and David Reeves, whose famous dad jokes had everyone smiling, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 🎶
