🚨 ALERT – Unverified Door Knockers in Ararat 🚨
Council has been made aware of people door-knocking in our community claiming to raise funds for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Council has not issued any permits for this activity.
These individuals appear official, wearing clothing with logos, but please do not give them money or personal information. Stay safe, and spread the word, especially to family members or neighbours who might be approached. If you have concerns, contact Victoria Police or report it to ScamWatch. The local non-emergency Police number is (03) 5355 1500.
EDIT: Please note that the supermarket Peter Mac people are legitimate and have appropriate permissions from the supermarkets to be there raising funds.
