Did you know the knowledge on posture has improved significantly over the years?
We used to blame posture for our pains and aches, injuries and as clinicians we've tried many things to correct posture without even thinking twice.
But the latest evidence suggests posture alone is not a major cause of back pain. Pain is more strongly linked to factors like stress, inactivity, poor sleep, deconditioning, and prolonged static positions. Rather than aiming for “perfect posture,” current guidelines recommend regular movement, strength exercise, staying active, and varying positions throughout the day
