A nice piece by Channel 10 on our reunion with Cardiac Arrest survivor Adam.

Last night, we had the opportunity to experience a truly special moment as the St John Ambulance NSW teams and Qudos Bank Arena staff reunited with Adam, whose life was saved following his cardiac arrest during the Sydney Kings NBL Championship decider in early April.

It was an emotional evening bringing together the St John volunteers, venue staff, Adam and his wife Gina, reflecting on the incredible teamwork, calmness and quick action that made Adam’s recovery possible. The photos feature the entire response team, St John responders, Qudos staff, Adam and his wife Gina.

St John Ambulance Australia is deeply saddened to hear the passing of Professor the Honourable Marie Bashir AD CVO DStJ.

Dame Marie was a distinguished medical practitioner and an exceptional human being, whose lifelong commitment to health, compassion and advocacy made a lasting contribution to Australia. She was a passionate supporter of those facing disadvantages, a strong advocate for improved health outcomes for First Nations people, and a champion of diversity across our society.

During her time as Governor of New South Wales, Dame Marie served as a Deputy Prior of the Order of St John, and held a deep appreciation for the work of St John volunteers and staff. She recognised the vital role they play in caring for our community, and her encouragement left a meaningful impact on those she met.
We extend our sincere condolences to Dame Marie’s family, loved ones, and all those who are mourning her loss.
