We provide a safe, supportive, respectful environment for people living with mental illness. It’s a place you can go to meet other people with lived experience of mental illness, take part in activities and find the help you need on your mental health journey. Pioneer follows the Clubhouse model for recovery. This means that the staff and members manage it together and work side-by-side as colleag

ues doing administration work, running a kitchen and preparing meals (available at a small cost each day), maintaining the surrounds of the building, tending the vegetable garden, planning social activities and cleaning duties. By taking part in the daily running of the Clubhouse members learn valuable skills and build the confidence to find work. Pioneer Clubhouse is run by One Door Mental Health. Each member of Pioneer is welcome, wanted and expected to arrive each day.

Before the rain hit today the crew headed out for the Social Outing to The Tramshed for a coffee and catch up! ☕️

At the clubhouse the chill vibe was strong with Scrabble on the table, members on the guitar and blueberry muffins in the oven 😋

Today the potatoes went into their grow bags! 🥔

The Gardening Group team is hoping to have them ready for Christmas celebrations. We also planted tomatoes (which we will pop into our salads at lunch time and make relish with) as well as cucumbers and gherkins.

You’re in the right place! We work together as a team 🌻 and many helping hands are proving to be giving great results.

Today’s Baking Group crew whipped up a Blueberry & Lemon cake! 🫐 🍋 🤤

The cake came out sweet from the berries, fresh from the lemon and super moist from the secret ingredient - yoghurt!

Our baked goods are either used in our social groups or sold to our members which is another great reason to pop in to the Clubhouse 🥰
