I get asked all the time ‘Why re•nu?’ And my answer is consistently - ‘ I just LOVE saunas THAT much’🤣
But honestly, it’s bigger than that. I love all things wellness. I love the energy of people wanting to feel the best they have ever felt. Regardless of age, gender, exercise schedule, kids, work.
Nick and I both love re•nu being that third space for people. We are a place you can take at your own pace. Choose what feels right for you on any given day. And a quick glance at our reviews will show you the whole team are always welcoming and helpful providing any guidance or further info you’re after.
Wellness is a team sport because it’s so nice when we work on ourselves but go on the journey with others.
Whether you sauna or simply touch some grass this weekend I hope it’s a good one.

The calm you feel isn’t in your head

Your parasympathetic “rest and digest” nervous system takes over in the cool-down and stays lifted for about an hour after a sauna.

Sleep gets easier.

That post-sauna temperature drop is the exact signal your brain uses to fall asleep, and passive heating before bed has been shown to cut time-to-sleep by roughly a third.

On the inside, heat switches on your heat shock proteins (your cells’ repair crew) it’s the mechanism behind a lot of sauna’s longer-term benefits.

And the long game is your heart. ♥️

A Finnish study followed nearly 1,700 adults for 15 years, half of them women.

The most frequent sauna users had cardiovascular death rates of 77% reduction, versus once-a-week users.

Worth noting: it’s an association, not proof, but it’s the frequent users who saw it. Which is the whole point.

We sold out an event for 100 women within days!
I am absolutely pumped that so many women are keen to come together and chat all things wellness, for a wonderful cause as well. re•nu are thrilled to have partnered with Supporting women recovering from family violence. on this one. The work Nat and the Raven team do is truely inspiring. Wellness is for every woman.
Lots of women of Ballarat have been asking for some time now for more information about women’s health, around perimenopause in particular. More support to help them feel great again.
We have listened. I hear you. I am you.
That’s why I have created a workshop for this. 2 hours dedicated to nervous system support for women in perimenopause and/ or stressed women nearing burnout.
