It’s usually not one big moment.
It’s more like getting through the day on autopilot.
He wakes up already a bit tired. Goes to work. Replies to messages. Gets through what needs to get done. No one would really notice anything is wrong.
Even he wouldn’t call it “struggling”.
Just tired. Just busy. Just a lot going on.
But somewhere in between, things start to feel different. Sleep doesn’t reset anything anymore. Days blur together a bit. Even time off doesn’t feel like rest, just a pause before the next thing.
So it gets pushed aside. Because nothing has actually fallen apart.
This is often how stress and emotional exhaustion build, not as a breaking point, but as something that slowly becomes normal.
A GP visit doesn’t need a perfect explanation. It can just be a space to put things into words and make sense of what’s been building over time.
Even starting with something simple like, “I haven’t been feeling like myself lately”, is enough.
