🤝🤝 Early Parenting Consultant | Maternal & Child Health Nurse, Sara Armstrong
Sara is a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife and Maternal & Child Health Nurse (MCHN) 👩🍼with more than a decade of experience supporting families through Ballarat’s Universal MCHN and Sleep & Settling programs. Having grown up in Ballarat and now raising her own family here, she brings a grounded understanding of the early parenting journey and the realities of caring for young children👩👧👦👩👩👧👦👨👨👧
Sara’s practice is shaped by attachment based principles, responsive infant settling approaches, and a deep respect for each family’s unique values and beliefs, their culture, and developmental stage. She is recognised for her calm presence, thoughtful communication and evidence informed guidance that supports parents with clarity and confidence.
In her CPH&P role as an Early Parenting Consultant | MCHN, Sara will provide personalised, gentle support that strengthens parent–child connection and builds confidence in the early years. Her approach reflects The Centre for Perinatal Health & Parenting’s commitment to nurturing care, thoughtful practice, with the steady reassurance families deserve.
Sara will be providing a mix of care and support to our families:
Infant sleep and settling💤🌙 is a hot item on Sara's agenda, along with a holistic and nurturing overall support on the parenting journey, and the provision of a personalised Private Maternal & Child Health Service, including more frequent, longer appointments with the same nurse every time, home visiting as an option for every session, detailed completion of the green book by a consistent, knowledgeable MCHN, with online bookings available.
Sara also has some plans for support during pregnancy, so watch this space for some upcoming complimentary antenatal sessions 🫃🫃🫃 and come meet Sara soon ....
