💙 What a wonderful August at Crowley Care! As we farewell another busy month, we'd like to thank everyone who helped make August so special.

Together we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day, supported Daffodil Day, promoted health and wellbeing during Stroke Awareness Week, and enjoyed coming together at
community events and fundraisers.

Whether it was sharing a conversation over coffee, attending an activity, volunteering your time, supporting a fundraiser or simply offering a smile, every moment helped strengthen the sense of connection that makes Crowley Care such a special community.

Thank you to our residents, clients, families, volunteers and dedicated staff for another month filled with kindness, laughter and care. We look forward to sharing more memorable moments with you in September! 💙

Our village residents are getting active with MOVE WITH FRIENDS, a four-week chair-based movement program to help participants stay active, build confidence and connect with others.

Crowley Care is proud to host this initiative, delivered by Southern Cross University students studying osteopathy, naturopathy and occupational therapy.

There was plenty of smiles, movement and good company 💛💙❤️

🌼💛 Thank you for helping us make Daffodil Day bloom!

A big thank you to our residents, families, volunteers and staff who joined in our Daffodil Day celebrations by wearing yellow and supporting our fundraising stall last week.

Thanks to your generosity, we helped raise funds for Cancer Council’s lifesaving cancer research and support programs.

It was wonderful to see our Crowley community come together, share a smile and support such an important cause. 💛

🎶 Music that moves the heart. ❤️

Yesterday, our talented staff member, Joe filled the Crowley Entertainment Room with the beautiful sounds of gospel music, sharing some truly moving renditions with our residents.

His heartfelt singing brought tears to many eyes and drew a record crowd, with residents coming together to enjoy an afternoon of music, connection and joy.

Thank you, Joe, for sharing your wonderful talent with our Crowley community. What a special afternoon! 🎶❤️

🌼💛 Help us paint Crowley Care yellow for Daffodil Day!

Friday 21 August is Daffodil Day and we’re showing our support for people affected by cancer and helping raise funds for Cancer Council’s lifesaving cancer research.

Staff and residents are invited to wear yellow and join in the fundraising fun, with our Daffodil Day stall featuring:

🧁 Delicious cupcakes
🎟️ 100 Club fundraiser

Every contribution helps Cancer Council continue vital research, prevention programs and support services for people impacted by cancer.

🎨 Have you submitted your entry for the Diocesan Artprize 2026?

Time is running out! Entries close on Monday 24 August, so now is the perfect time to share your creativity and be part of this wonderful celebration of art across our community.

We’re also excited to announce that Crowley Care will be hosting an exhibition of this year’s entries in our Activity Centre from Thursday 3 September to Sunday 6 September.

You will be invited to come along, admire the incredible talent on display and celebrate the creativity and imagination of our local artists.

We can’t wait to see the amazing artworks submitted for the Diocesan Artprize 2026! 💙

🎓🤝 Growing the future aged care workforce together

At Crowley Care, we're proud to partner with Southern Cross University to provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities for the next generation of nurses.

Recently, we welcomed eight nursing students for a three-week clinical placement, giving them the chance to build their skills, confidence and experience in a supportive aged care environment.

Supporting student placements is an investment in the future of our profession, and we're incredibly proud of our team for creating such a positive learning experience. The wonderful feedback we received from the students is a reflection of the care, encouragement and professionalism our staff show every day.

📋 2026 Census reminder – Tuesday 11 August

The Census is an important way of helping shape the future of our community and Australia.

This week Crowley Care staff will visit each residential aged care resident to assist in meeting the Census requirements.

Our Independent Living residents can complete their own Census form either online or on paper and return their completed form by post.
