In TCM, how we breathe is closely connected with the movement of Qi.

Slow, steady breathing can help settle emotions, soften tension, and bring us back into the present moment.

The trick is remembering to do it.

So, if you've been rushing around today or feeling a little stressed… let this be your reminder:

Take a moment.
Breathe.
Or get acupuncture. 😉

Many people have learned to summarise their period in a few words.

“Cramps.”
“Just period pain.”
“In a bit of pain."

But the details often tell a much bigger story.

When I ask about your menstrual cycle, I’m not asking to tick a box on a health history form.

I’m listening for patterns... when symptoms occur, how they feel, what changes throughout the month, and how they affect your daily life.

In Chinese medicine, these details help guide assessment and shape treatment according to your individual presentation.

You don’t have to find the “right” words or have the perfect explanation.

Start with what you notice.

Describe them as best as you can, in whatever words you like.

The details matter.

What you experience matters.

Legally and ethically, I can’t guarantee acupuncture will work for you.

No health practitioner can genuinely promise that outcome.

Everyone responds differently, and there are always exceptions.

What I can tell you is this:
I wouldn’t have dedicated years of study and practice to acupuncture if I didn’t believe in its value.

I genuinely believe acupuncture is a valuable and effective form of healthcare.

And I will always be honest with you about whether it’s the right fit for you.

My approach is simple — we treat, we observe, and we respond to how your body actually reacts.

Some people notice changes quickly. For others, it takes time.

The goal is always the same: help ease symptoms while also working on why they are happening in the first place.

When the body has been quietly adapting to movement patterns over time, tissues can become guarded, overworked, restricted, or unstable.

What that can look like in daily life:

Lying in bed, but one area feels like it won't let go no matter how hard you try.

Constantly feeling the need to stretch, yet the tension keeps returning.

Suddenly, not having the strength to stand up or losing grip strength while picking something up.

A persistent ache that never fully settles.

Joints that feel loose, unsupported, or unreliable.

Feeling like one side works harder than the other.

These patterns aren't random

They reflect the ways the body has been trying to keep you moving, functioning, and protected over time.

Have you noticed your body adapting in ways you didn’t expect?

A large part of my clinical focus is understanding how the body is moving and compensating as a whole.

Pain can refer.
Movement changes.
Muscles adapt.
Load shifts elsewhere.

Often, the area producing symptoms is only one part of the picture.

My background and interest in musculoskeletal anatomy and myofascial relationships heavily influence the way I assess and treat pain conditions alongside traditional Chinese medicine.

Because treatment is not only about reducing symptoms temporarily — it’s about understanding the pattern that led there in the first place.

I’m yet to meet someone who has perfect health, perfect habits, and a perfectly regulated life.

And honestly, that’s never been the requirement for deserving support.

It surprises me how many people feel they need to “get themselves together” before they they ask for help.

To eat better first.
Sleep better first.
Stress less first.
Be more disciplined first.

But the reason most people seek help is because what they’ve been doing alone isn’t working anymore.

You do not need to arrive as the finished version of yourself.

You can show up tired.
Overwhelmed.
Trying.
Uncertain.
Human.
You can show up exactly as you are.

That’s what this space is for!

I was in my 20’s when I met him.

A new massage client.

He said something I wasn’t prepared for.

“Once you get old… you become invisible.”

I remember pausing.
Not because I didn’t hear him,
but because I didn’t understand how that could be true.

He had a wife.
Children and grandchildren nearby.
A home in the same community he’d lived in for over 50 years.

And still… he felt unseen.

I didn’t have the words for him that day.
But I felt it.
Deeply enough that it stayed with me.

That moment changed something.

It shaped the way I listen.
The way I sit with people.
The way I work.

Because care isn’t just about symptoms.
It’s about being witnessed.
About reminding someone... they are still here.

This is why I’m drawn to working with the aging population.

Why end-of-life care matters so deeply to me.

Because no one should feel invisible.
Not at any stage of life.

If you or someone you love is navigating this time,
you don’t have to do it alone.

Grief lives in the heart, but it also lives in the body.

In clinic, I see it show up in so many ways—trouble sleeping, ongoing exhaustion, a sense of being overwhelmed or stuck.

Acupuncture isn’t about removing grief.
It’s about supporting you as you move with it.

Gently guiding the nervous system toward regulation, offering the body a chance to soften, release tension, and find a little more steadiness along the way.
