It's Dental Health Week!

This is your reminder to book your child's regular dental appointment with our public dental clinic at Balranald MPS 🦷

Children (aged 0-17 years) are eligible for free NSW public dental services if they:
✅ are a NSW resident
✅ are eligible for Medicare
✅ have their parent/guardian sign the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) Bulk Billing Patient Consent Form.​

Vaccinations during pregnancy give your baby important protection from birth.

The Free Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine is available and recommended for pregnant women.

RSV can cause serious illness in newborn babies. Getting the vaccine between 28-36 weeks helps protect your baby from RSV for their first 6 months of life.

Do you travel long distances for treatment?

The Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) can provide financial assistance when you travel for treatment that is not available locally.

There have been some changes to the website and the NSW Digital ID has been incorporated to make the process simpler, and more secure.

Free and confidential pregnancy care services are available for you 💜

Our caring and friendly team work from Buronga HealthOne, Balranald Multi Purpose Service, Dareton Outreach Service and Wentworth Health Service.

💜 A community Midwife and Aboriginal Health Worker are available to provide care throughout your pregnancy.
💜 We work in conjunction with a visiting doctor from the Mildura Base Public Hospital for your antenatal care and to support you through your birth.
💜 Families that we care for through their pregnancy will be offered postnatal care by our team, which can include home visits.

Refurbishment works have commenced on the emergency department at Balranald Multipurpose Service (MPS).

The emergency department sustained severe storm damage in January this year and has been operating from a temporary location within the MPS until repairs are completed.

Refurbishment works will include repairing the ceilings, walls and floors as well as the roofline over the area.

All health services are expected to remain operational while refurbishment works take place. Any temporary changes or access restrictions at the MPS will be communicated to the public in a timely manner.

Consumers and visitors are asked to follow all work site directions to ensure public safety is maintained. The community's understanding and patience is appreciated during this time.
