We are proud to congratulate Dr Kate Burston on achieving her CREI qualification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the highest subspecialty credential in reproductive medicine in Australia and New Zealand.

We have some exciting news to share! We're thrilled to welcome Dr Anna Dalton to the Genea Canberra team- and in many ways, it's something of a homecoming. Anna completed her medical training at the Australian National University before spending over a decade building her career in Adelaide.

Dr Dalton is a FRANZCOG specialist and is in the final stages of CREI training. She brings particular interest in egg freezing, recurrent miscarriage, and male factor infertility, and manages the full scope of fertility care- including egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and surgical s***m retrieval.

We're so excited to have her on board.

No two paths to parenthood look the same, so why should the care look the same either?

Some journeys are quick. Some are long. Some involve IVF, some donor support, some genetic testing, some a second opinion after years of trying. Some are joyful. Some are heavy. Most are both.

At Genea, your care is built around you- your story, your body, your hopes, your timeline. Backed by world-leading science and a team that genuinely listens.

Because the goal isn't just a result. It's your family, however it's meant to look.

Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to your fertility. πŸ’‘

When you're navigating a fertility journey, so much can feel out of your hands. The waiting. The unknowns. The results you don't quite understand. The hope that flickers and dims and flickers again.

But understanding why -why a result is what it is, why a recommendation has been made, why your body is doing what it's doing changes everything. It turns a process that can feel like it's happening to you into one you feel part of.

That's what a great first appointment should give you. Not just a plan, but the context behind it. Not just numbers, but what those numbers actually mean for you. Honest conversations about what's possible, what's worth trying, and what might need to change.

Because no one should feel locked out of hope, especially not by jargon, rushed appointments, or feeling like just another file on a desk.

Thanks to Dr Anne Clark, Co-Medical Director at Fertility First with Genea for this important reminder that the best care starts with truly understanding you.

To our nurses- today, and every day, thank you. 🀍

Today is International Nurses Day, and we want to take a moment to honour the incredible nursing team who bring such heart and soul to everything we do at Genea.

You are the steady voice on the other end of the phone when the world feels uncertain. You are the gentle hand during an early morning scan, the reassuring smile before a procedure, the careful explanation when everything feels overwhelming.

You remember the things that aren't in any chart. You remember stories. You remember the little things that matter.

Our patients don't just walk a fertility journey, they walk it with you.

Through the hopeful mornings and the heavy afternoons. Through the phone calls that change everything, in both directions. You've held hands, dried tears, and quietly celebrated more good news than anyone will ever know.

You go above and beyond, not because it's in your job description, but because it's who you are.

To every nurse across our Genea clinics around the country, thank you for your compassion, your skill, and the extraordinary care you give our patients every single day.

Happy International Nurses Day. 🀍

There's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to fertility. 🌱

Every person, every couple, every story is different- which is why your treatment shouldn't look like anyone else's.

From IVF and IUI to egg freezing, donor s***m and donor egg programs, there are more pathways to parenthood today than ever before. The right one for you depends on your age, your history, your goals, and what feels right for your family. πŸ’›

And whatever path you take, you shouldn't walk it alone. Personalised treatment plans, honest conversations about success rates, and access to fantastic counsellors and support are what turn a medical process into a journey you feel held through.

Thanks to Dr Alex Cottam from our Genea Perth team for sharing an insight into the options available. If you've been wondering what your pathway might look like, the best first step is a conversation with a fertility specialist who can tailor a plan to you.

Mother's Day is just around the corner and for so many, it's not a day of celebration. It's a day of bracing.

To anyone navigating a fertility journey, this one's for you. πŸ’›

We know you've heard at least one of these. Maybe all of them. And we know that even when the words come from a place of love, they can still land hard.

So, we made this for you to share before Sunday rolls around. Send it to the friend who keeps asking. The aunt who means well. The colleague who doesn't know what to say. The group chat that needs a gentle nudge.

Because the people in your life do want to support you, they just don't always know how. A small shift in language can be the difference between feeling alone in it and feeling truly held.

If Mother's Day is heavy for you this year - whether you're hoping, waiting, grieving, or quietly carrying it all, please know we see you, and you're not alone.

πŸ’¬ If this resonates, share it. Send it to someone who needs to read it. Save it for later.

Drop a πŸ’› in the comments so others know they're not alone in this either.
