Husband appreciation Post!!!
Over the last 6 weeks, our dining table has completely disappeared under my competition cake for the Wedding Couture Showcase at the International Cake Show!
While I’ve been spending countless hours creating, Pete has been quietly doing everything else.
He brought our outdoor table inside so I’d have somewhere to work, did the grocery shopping, bought birthday presents for our little boy, made sausage rolls and shopped for his birthday party, cooked dinner every night, and then cleaned up afterwards. During the first week of the school holidays, while I kept working on my cake, he took all four kids out for the day, made lunches, entertained them, and of course… cleaned up. (Seeing a pattern here? 😊)
He also washed endless cake dishes, and while I was at the Cake Show, he delivered my four-tier wedding cake to South Bank, took photos for me, and then brought our four kids over so they could see my display.
Pete is my biggest supporter, and I honestly couldn’t do what I do without him. Whether it’s the long hours making cakes, wedding expos, deliveries, or all the behind-the-scenes work, he is always there cheering me on and making it possible.
I’m so incredibly grateful for you. ❤️ Thank you for believing in me, supporting my dreams, and carrying so much so I can keep creating. I love you. 🥰
