“Being happy on the Inside AND the Outside is easier than you think !”

William Arthur Ward once said” happiness is an inside job”. You can fake happiness in your outer world….., but there is no lying to yourself in your inner world when it comes to leading a happy, balanced life. Don’t wait for issues to snowball into a big decision before seeking help or advice. Learning how to navigate your tho

ughts and actions to align with what you resonate and feel in your whole body and soul is a constant learning experience for every living being, which can be stressful and traumatic? ……………………..or
effortless and easy, with the right tools and education to suit your needs. Understanding why and how your emotions, thoughts and actions interplay to create your life is the first step towards bringing any changes you wish occur. Having the structure ,capability and techniques to facilitate change or cope with life’s curve balls will create a happier life inside and out. Catherine incorporates the modalities of Resource Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Gestalt Therapy with Counselling and psychology skills providing a firm base to uncover what is the initial foundations of any concerns. Once understood, healing and change can occur bringing the client the satisfaction they are looking for.. These therapies can help a range of emotional and behavioural issues including; though not limited to….. Anxiety
Stress
Sleep
Addictions
Phobias and fears
Addictions
Depression
Ptsd
OCD
Eating Disorders
Grief and loss
Performance
Conflict resolution; both internally and externally
Confidence
Self Esteem
Motivation
Unwanted behaviours. Appointments are usually 1 hr and depending on the nature and complexity of the issues presenting, you may require several sessions or one only. Initial sessions incorporate gaining insight into the client’s world, introducing myself as your therapist and developing and initiating relevant aspects of therapy. This session and all other subsequent visits incorporate the following modalities whilst using a client centred approach to facilitate your needs.

1. Resource Therapy

Resource Therapy (Advanced Ego State Therapy) is a direct, effective and lasting psychodynamic therapy based on the concept that our personality is made up of parts (refered to as resources). When these personality resources are in a healthy state they are useful and liked by all the other parts of the personality. There are different resources for different aspects of life, for example we have protective resources when there is danger present and caring resources present when nurturing children. Sometime resources may hold unwanted emotions, behaviours, be in conflict with each other or be present at the wrong time. For example, a fearful state may be present in large crowds creating the feeling of anxiety. Resource Therapy allows the therapist to speak directly to the part that holds the problem, so these resources states can be addressed and bought back to healthy normality.

2. Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a safe and effective method of assisting you, the client, into a relaxed focused state whereby positive suggestion can be made to alter your perception, senses, thoughts and behaviour to a more favourable outcome. These changes will only occur if it is your “will” to do so, always being in total control of any process. Hypnotherapy bypasses the conscious “ego” mind to access the subconscious mind discovering the foundations of unresolved issues, unhealthy patterns and emotions and behaviours , then the therapist can assist deep change within the unconscious mind. Hypnotherapy varies from Hypnosis by being a way to get people to reconnect with their emotions and disowned parts of themselves through engaging dialogue with the client whilst in a trance state. Clients will never divulge any imformation to the therapist that they do not feel safe or comfortable to do so.

3. Neuro – Linguistic programming

Neuro (the mind) Linguistic ( language) Programming allows you to control how you see, feel and behave. Practised NLP tools and techniques can give you more positive, effective, thought patterns and perceptions to reach your true potential in life.

4. Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy, developed by Fritz Perls in the 1940’s, is a psychotherapy that focuses on the client-therapist, the here and now present moment and incorporates the whole ecology of the clients world, giving the client an awareness and responsibility for their emotions and actions and a healthier perspective on the past, present and future.

Lunch with us on the Central Coast? 🍝🍴🥧🥂

Proud and honoured to be working with Michelle Wollaston and SHINE with Dee for Conversations 246 which will be an in-person meet.

Somewhere between the night sweats and the word you lost mid-sentence, something else shifts. Your priorities. Your patience. What you'll tolerate. Who you are at work, at home, in the mirror.

A conversation about what happens to us at this stage of life — how confidence, relationships, work, identity and boundaries move, and what we do about it.

Hosts — Michelle Wollaston, Syzygy. Diedre Brooker, Shine with Dee.

Wednesday, 14 October 2026
10am to 2pm,
Central Coast, NSW

How the room works
Anonymous live polls, answered on your phone. We put the question up, watch the room answer, then unpack why the results landed that way.

One of them: what has become unexpectedly attractive in midlife?
A man who communicates
Eight hours' sleep
Financial independence
Having the bed to myself

Then the real conversation — what those answers say about leadership, neuroscience and behaviour change, and the boundaries that follow.
