Azuraa is incredibly proud to already have some amazing golfers who are training, developing their skills and setting their sights on one day representing their state—and perhaps even Australia—through Special Olympics competition. Every swing, every lesson and every round is about so much more than golf. It's about building confidence, resilience, friendships, independence and believing in what is possible. We can't wait to watch our golfers continue to grow, chase their dreams and hopefully become future Australian Special Olympics champions. The journey starts with one swing!

AZURAA IS GOING TO THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS AUSTRALIA NATIONAL GAMES 2026!

Would you like to join us?

Azuraa is excited to be planning a Community Participation & Capacity Building Experience to the Special Olympics Australia National Games in Melbourne from 19–23 October 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of Australia's most inspiring sporting events while developing valuable life skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

Experience the excitement of the Special Olympics Australia National Games
Build confidence and independence through supported travel
Strengthen friendships and develop new social connections
Increase community participation and social engagement
Explore Melbourne as part of a supportive group experience

This experience has been designed to promote confidence, independence, social participation and meaningful community inclusion while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Please note: Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own Opening Ceremony ticket, meals and personal spending money. NDIS funding may be used for eligible support and community participation costs in accordance with individual plans.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ARE NOW OPEN!

To assist with planning, we'd appreciate registrations as soon as possible. We will be purchasing Opening Ceremony tickets shortly to secure the best available seats for Monday 19 October 2026.

This role involves supporting participants with:
✔ Community engagement
✔ Personal care and self-care activities
✔ Daily living and skill development
✔ Building independence and confidence

We are looking for workers who:
✔ Have experience supporting participants with complex needs
✔ Are confident with personal care / self-care supports
✔ Are reliable, professional, and person-centred
✔ Can think outside the box and engage meaningfully with participants
