Sofia has diverse qualifications and professional backgrounds in nutrition, psychology and business. She is a mother and has lived in the Shire for 16 years. Sofia is a Paul Harris Fellow recipient, the founder of Batemans Bay Community Picnic, the President of the Philippine Cultural Society of Batemans Bay, a member of Rotary Club Batemans Bay and on the social committee of Batemans Bay Sailing Club. Sofia is dedicated to enriching the lives of our local people by driving social progress and community resilience.

So proud of my fellow Batemans Bay CWA sister Helen Westman for taking out the Eurobodalla Local Hero Award tonight! 💐

I know how much heart and patience Helen puts into helping people in our community, and seeing her get recognised at the Mayor’s Charity Ball was just wonderful.

Such a fun night of great food, non-stop dancing, and celebrating our local charities with wonderful friends. Huge thanks to everyone who put my name forward for the nomination- I’m so grateful to be part of such a caring community! ❤️

What a glorious day at the Governor-General’s House in Canberra! 🇦🇺✨

I was so honoured to witness two amazing Eurobodalla residents recognised for their outstanding contributions to our community - Kristy Beecham OAM for her wonderful contribution to the community of Narooma, and my dear friend John Haslem OAM for his service to the community through a range of roles, acknowledging his many years of dedicated public and community service.

Both Kristy and John have given so much to our community through their commitment, generosity and exemplary work. It was a very special day to celebrate two truly deserving individuals. ❤️

What an inspiring evening watching Fly From Everest documentary and supporting the extraordinary Ken Hutt OAM in his mission to end polio.

Ken has raised over $1 million by paragliding off some of the world's highest peaks, and I am in constant awe of his resilience, optimism, and drive to make a difference.

Great morning spent connecting and networking with such a wonderful group Batemans Bay Business Breakfast

A huge thank you to the amazing Samuel Steiner, owner and roaster at Alfresco Coffee Roasters, for sharing your incredible journey with us.

Hearing how small overseas farmers dedicate their lives to growing coffee- often traveling for hours by donkey just to get their harvest to port - was truly eye-opening.

Thank you, Sam, for your dedication to supporting these farmers and helping them build better lives. We definitely left with a much deeper appreciation for the story and hard work behind every single cup. ☕✨

I'm so proud of my two groups, Rotary Batemans Bay and Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels, for making it as finalists. We may not have won, but being recognised alongside so many great organisations is something to celebrate.
