💙 Central West Foot & Ankle Clinic — 10 Years of Care, Community & Movement

Ten years ago today — Wednesday 1 June 2016 — we opened our doors for the very first time.
What began as a small clinic with a big vision has grown into a trusted part of the Central West community.

Over the past decade, we’ve invested seriously in the best diagnostic technology, and built a reputation for excellence in biomechanics, musculoskeletal podiatric assessment, and general podiatric care. Every decision has been driven by one goal — helping people move better.

But our story isn’t just clinical. It’s community.

We’ve proudly supported local schools, sports clubs, dance academies, Eisteddfods, and countless community causes. We’ve stood beside families, athletes, performers, and everyday locals — building trust one step at a time.

I’m proud to call Bathurst home, proud to serve the Central West, and proud of what we’ve built together.
Here’s to the next decade of movement, innovation, and community connection.

Love the Central West!

Issy and Mike have been in Noosa over the last few days at the 2026 conference. Terrific to present with Rhys from in the ECP session. Thanks to them for their support of early career practitioner. Wonderful to catch up with colleagues socially and see, meet and hear some terrific speakers. But most of all learn from the best to treat our patients!

To all our Mum's, near and far. Happy Mother's Day.

Sever’s Disease (Heel Pain in Active Kids)

🦶Heel pain in active kids isn’t “just growing pains”. It’s often Sever’s disease — a load‑related irritation of the heel’s growth plate.

🙁When kids hit a growth spurt, the calf muscles tighten and pull harder on the heel. Add running, jumping, and sport on top, and the heel becomes irritated and sore.

🙂The good news? It’s very treatable — and kids don’t need to stop sport.

As lower‑limb specialists in load and biomechanics, we’re in the best position to help because we can:
- Assess how your child moves and loads their feet
- Identify the mechanical causes of the heel pain
- Optimise footwear and cushioning
- Adjust training load without losing fitness
- Build strength and mobility to prevent recurrence

❗️Sever’s disease is a load problem — and load is exactly what we specialise in.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️If your child is limping after sport, avoiding running, or complaining of heel pain, we can help them stay active and recover properly.
