Grateful for the opportunity to present to the IBD nurse forum sponsored by Falk last Friday on Neural Switch's gut program. The gut program is suitable for anyone with a disorder of the gut brain interaction (DGBI) with or without underlying disease. Such as irritable bowel syndrome or those with IBD who continue to have symptoms while in remission.

It was well complimented by a talk on fatigue management in IBD by Cyte May, bringing holistic care to patients.

Nurse practitioners are primary and specialty care providers, who are known for their holistic approach to patient health, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and patient education. They have the ability to work independently and collaboratively and have a master’s level of education. Their capabilities include:
• Case management of complex care and collaborate with other healthcare providers
• Conducting physical exams and taking medical histories
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribing medications and therapies
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Providing health education and counselling
• Coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed
• Can provide rebates through Medicare

I'm so very grateful for recently having the opportunity to attend Michael Yapko's final 100-Hour Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy Training for Health Care Professionals prior to his retirement. The skills and knowledge gained have added to and heightened my skills.
Highlighting:
Hypnotherapy is not the therapy, it is a vehicle for therapy, allowing the individual to discover, utilize and amplify their resources.
