It was an honour to welcome Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, to the Positive Vibes Foundation's Hills Women’s Shed last week.
Her Excellency spent time meeting the women, seeing them in action and hearing how the Women’s Shed creates connection, friendship and a genuine sense of belonging.
She reflected on the impact of isolation and loneliness in our communities and the importance of having a welcoming place where women can come together naturally, talk, create and build friendships.
Thank you, Your Excellency, for taking the time to listen, connect and recognise the importance of community spaces like ours.
