💔 Please note that this is a CPR Course - qjere Cheryl will guode you through learning how to do lifesaving breaths and compressions and also use a defribulator (now located on the exterior of our hall for greater access). This course doesn't include the full First Aid training.

“What’s that lanyard for?”

Here’s your answer 🌻

When someone wears a Sunflower lanyard, it means they have a non-visible disability. This is something you may not be able to see.

It lets others know they might need a bit more time, patience or help.

You may also see a white Sunflower Supporter lanyard. This can be worn by carers and by people in workplaces who have been trained and are ready to assist. It shows they understand the Sunflower and are there to help if needed.

Heatwave Warning

Extreme heat is affecting all of Victoria today.
Heatwaves can be dangerous, particularly for older people, young children, and those with medical conditions.

To stay safe during the heat: Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty

Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day

Use fans or air conditioning, and keep blinds and curtains closed Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and a hat when outside

Never leave children or pets in vehicles even for a short time

Check in on neighbours, family, and vulnerable community members

If you start to feel unwell due to the heat, seek medical help immediately.
