About the Role
As a Funeral Director, you will play a vital role in supporting families and ensuring services are delivered with dignity and care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Arranging and conducting funeral services with professionalism and empathy
* Assisting with deceased transfers during business hours
* Undertaking mortuary preparations
* Managing administrative tasks to support daily operations
* Participating in an after-hours phone on-call roster
What We’re Looking For
While experience in the funeral industry is preferred, it is not essential. We are looking for someone who demonstrates:
* Strong emotional intelligence and genuine compassion
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain a professional appearance appropriate to representing families and the company.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of the position, including transfers and manual handling tasks.
* A current and valid driver’s license
* The ability to remain calm, respectful, and supportive in emotional situations
* Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
