Happy Hour & July Birthday Celebrations 🎉

Residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live entertainment by the talented Keith Dunn, whose fantastic singing had everyone tapping their feet and singing along 🎸🎤

The afternoon was made even more special with a delicious selection of hot food and beautiful cakes lovingly prepared by Chef Nui 🎂 It was a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, enjoy great music, delicious food, and each other's company in a warm and cheerful atmosphere ☺️

🚌Mystery Bus Outing – Harrisville Royal Hotel 🚌

Our Mystery Bus adventure took us to the beautiful Royal Hotel Harrisville, where residents enjoyed a delicious lunch in one of the Scenic Rim's charming country pubs.

The pub is operated by former nurses, who warmly welcomed our group and shared the fascinating history of this iconic local establishment. Residents thoroughly enjoyed learning about the building's past while taking in the friendly atmosphere and country hospitality.

It was a wonderful day filled with great food, interesting stories, plenty of laughter, and wonderful company. Everyone had a lovely time, and the outing created many happy memories.

🎉 Indoor Bowls 🎉

We had a fantastic turnout for Indoor Bowls! It was wonderful to see so many residents getting involved and enjoying some friendly competition.

Congratulations to The Waratahs, who took the win with a score of 14, against The Wattles with a score of 10. 🏆👏

Well done to everyone who participated and helped make it such a fun and enjoyable day! 😊

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Beaudesert High School to visit Wongaburra. 😊

The students had the opportunity to speak with and interview some of our residents, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and sharing their experiences.

It was lovely to see the interaction between the students and our residents, and we were very pleased to support such a meaningful learning experience. The visit provided the students with valuable insight into the lives and experiences of older people, helping them to develop empathy and a greater understanding of the needs of elderly clients.

Thank you to the students and staff from Beaudesert High School for visiting Wongaburra. We look forward to welcoming you all back in the future! 😀

Indoor Bowls Challenge with Home Care 🎳

We were delighted to welcome our Home Care clients for a friendly Indoor Bowls Challenge, followed by a delicious morning tea. Everyone enjoyed spending time together, sharing plenty of tasty treats, great conversation and lots of laughter.

After some friendly competition, our Wongaburra residents claimed a fantastic 28–8 victory! 🏆

It was a wonderful morning filled with smiles, teamwork and fun, highlighting the strong connections between our residents and Home Care clients. We look forward to the next challenge!
