A message from the team at Top Doctors 💚
At Top Doctors, we work as one team — never fragmented — and we're proud to be a private practice offering bulk billing to our community across Bribie Island and the wider Moreton Bay area.
That doesn't mean we're perfect. It means that every day, we try to do the very best we can for you.
We know it can be frustrating when you can't see your own regular GP at the exact moment you need to, and that uncertainty about your health can be stressful. Here's our promise: because our doctors work together as a connected team — not in isolation — any one of them can safely look after you when your usual GP isn't available. Whether it's an ongoing matter we've been managing with you or a brand-new concern, our doctors share information, communicate with each other, and have access to your records, so your care continues smoothly and nothing gets lost between visits.
There are also a few things that help us look after you well, where we'd genuinely value your partnership:
🗓️ Plan ahead where you can. If you know a need is coming — a referral, a repeat script, a medical letter, or something you'll need arranged before travel — booking it sooner rather than later helps us get it right without the rush. It isn't always possible to plan, and that's completely fine. But when it is, it makes a real difference.
💚 Our doctors are human too. They get sick, they take well-earned breaks, and they have families who sometimes need them. Doctors who rest and look after their own health are the ones who can keep giving you their best for years to come. Because of this — and because good care is in high demand — a wait of two, sometimes three weeks to see your preferred doctor for a non-urgent matter is a normal part of general practice. It isn't a shortcut in your care; it's us making sure every patient gets proper, unhurried attention when it's their turn.
🚑 Emergencies are part of daily medicine. From time to time, our doctors are called away to manage an urgent or life-threatening situation. When that happens, they give that patient everything the moment demands — as they would for you — and it can reduce availability for non-urgent appointments that day. We ask for your understanding, knowing you'd want the same care if it were ever you or your family.
We're honest about our limits, too. When our doctors are fully booked, our reception team will help you find the best path forward — another of our doctors, a nearby private clinic, or, if it's an emergency, guiding you straight to emergency care. And for everyone's safety, we're not able to diagnose or give medical advice over the phone; good medicine needs a proper consultation, and that protects you.
Above all, we want you to feel confident in your care. If you ever feel another practice suits your needs and expectations better than we're able to, we understand completely and we'll support your choice — your health and peace of mind matter most.
