The Fire Sequence begins this Tuesday 🔥

As the days grow colder, our practice turns toward cultivating agni — the inner fire that fuels transformation, vitality and clarity.

In the yogic tradition, agni is the intelligent force that digests not only food, but also our experiences, emotions and impressions. When agni is strong, we feel energised, focused and resilient. When it is depleted, we can feel heavy, stagnant and uninspired.

Over the next nine weeks, we will explore the Synergy Vinyasa Fire Sequence — a progressive practice designed to build warmth from the inside out. Through breath, movement and repetition, we’ll create strength, stability and a steady flow of prana through the body.

Winter can invite us to withdraw and become still. While rest is important, yoga reminds us that circulation, breath and movement are equally essential for maintaining health and wellbeing through the cooler months Each class builds upon the last, allowing the practice to become increasingly familiar, meditative and transformative.

A little more time. ✨
Over the past few days, a few people have messaged me to say that the Early Bird deadline for our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training slipped past them.
Life gets busy. Work, family, commitments, and before you know it, the deadline has come and gone.
So Liz and I have decided to extend the Early Bird offer until midnight Monday to give you the long weekend to read through the information, sit with the decision, and reach out with any questions.
Our Balanced Practice Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training begins July 25 and is designed for both aspiring teachers and dedicated students who simply want to deepen their understanding of yoga.
Over six months we’ll explore:
✨ Asana, pranayama and meditation
✨ Yoga philosophy and history
✨ Functional anatomy and physiology
✨ Sequencing and teaching methodology
✨ Ayurveda and yogic lifestyle practices
✨ Trauma-aware and responsive teaching approaches
✨ Practice teaching with personal feedback
The course is delivered online, allowing you to continue working, caring for family and living your life while immersing yourself in the study and practice of yoga.
One of the things our graduates consistently tell us is that the training transformed their personal practice, regardless of whether they went on to teach.
Use the code LONGWEEKEND for $200 off before midnight Monday.
If you’ve been thinking about it, perhaps this is your sign to take another look.
Questions are always welcome. Send me a message and let’s chat.

What would happen if you gave yourself five days with nowhere to be?
No cooking.
No cleaning.
No emails.
No school runs.
No responsibilities pulling at your attention.
Just yoga, beautiful food, nature and rest.
Nestled amongst the lush green hills of the Byron Hinterland, BlueGreen Sanctuary feels like a world away from everyday life. Surrounded by rainforest, birdsong, macadamia groves and wide open skies, it is one of those rare places where your shoulders seem to drop the moment you arrive.
Spend your days moving through nourishing yoga practices, enjoying organic meals prepared for you, reading beside the pool, unwinding in the sauna, taking a cold plunge, walking amongst the trees or simply doing absolutely nothing at all.
This retreat isn’t about achieving more.
It’s about remembering what it feels like to be deeply rested, well nourished and fully present.
Join Liz Bennett and Amelia Disspain for five days of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, relaxation and connection in one of the most beautiful retreat venues we’ve ever had the privilege of teaching in.

There is something very special about practising yoga through winter.
The feeling of caring for yourself intentionally during the colder months rather than waiting until exhaustion or stress accumulate.
In Ayurveda, winter is considered a season that asks for warmth, nourishment, grounding and routine. A time to build resilience gently through consistent practices that support the nervous system, circulation, energy and overall wellbeing.
With this in mind, we’ve created Winter Unlimited Pass designed to support immersive and steady practice through the heart of winter.
The Winter Unlimited Pass offers 8 weeks of unlimited yoga for $320 and includes unlimited in-studio classes, livestream classes and access to our online library filled with hundreds of recorded practices available anytime from home.
Whether you are practising in the warmth of the studio, rolling out your mat at home on a cold morning, or winding down in the evenings with restorative yoga or pranayama, we wanted this offering to feel deeply supportive and easy to integrate into everyday life.
Throughout winter the studio will be warmed and our teachers will also be thoughtfully adapting classes to support the colder weather, with practices designed to cultivate circulation, steadiness, warmth and nervous system support.
And because winter practice deserves a little encouragement and celebration, we’ll also be offering prizes for the students attending the highest number of classes during the Winter Pass period.
One student will receive a complimentary month of unlimited yoga and another will win a Liforme yoga mat valued at $290.
The pass is available to purchase between May 28th and June 22nd and can be activated anytime between June 1st and June 22nd.

We would love to practise through winter with you.

One of the questions I’ve been asked about Friday Night Flow is:
“Do I need to know the sequence perfectly before I come?”
Absolutely not.
This evening isn’t about getting it right.
It isn’t about remembering every posture, every transition or every breath cue.
In many ways, it is the opposite.
Friday Night Flow is an invitation to move beyond thinking and analysing and instead settle into the experience of practice itself.
On June 5th we will celebrate the completion of our 9-week Water sequence with a visually guided moving meditation accompanied by live music from Ella Grace on cello and Jason Lowe on slide guitar.
The sequence will be guided visually rather than verbally, allowing you to become absorbed in the rhythm of your breath, the flow of movement and the beautiful atmosphere created by the music.
Of course, if you would like to familiarise yourself with the sequence beforehand, I have created a free practice video which you are very welcome to use. Find it in my bio link -Practising the sequence once or twice before the event may help you feel more comfortable and relaxed on the night.
But please don’t feel that you need to know everything.
After all, one of the gifts of repetition is that eventually we stop trying to remember the practice and start experiencing it.

A surprising number of people begin yoga teacher training without any real intention of becoming yoga teachers.
Some are simply looking for a way to stay connected to themselves in the middle of very full lives.
Some want to understand why yoga has affected them so deeply.
Some are quietly craving more rhythm, more steadiness, more meaning, more community.
Others feel drawn towards supporting people in some way — through teaching classes, through health care, through bodywork, through parenting, through the simple act of learning how to hold space more skilfully.
And almost everyone begins with the same thought:
“I don’t think I’m ready.”
But readiness in yoga has very little to do with performing advanced postures.
It has much more to do with curiosity.
Consistency.
Willingness to listen.
Willingness to begin.
Our Balanced Practice Yoga 200hr Teacher Training begins July 25th and was designed carefully to create genuine depth whilst still fitting alongside modern life.
Liz and I created the course from the things we valued most in our own training experiences — strong personal mentorship, practice teaching, intelligent sequencing, yoga philosophy, breathwork, energetic practices and real community — whilst also integrating contemporary understanding around functional anatomy, neuroscience, pain science and trauma-aware teaching.
The training runs over 6 months online with weekly live Zoom sessions for discussion, mentorship and personalised feedback.
And because we believe yoga cannot be learned intellectually alone, unlimited YogaBellingen and Balanced Practice classes are included throughout the entire training, both online and in-studio, allowing practice itself to become part of the learning process.
You do not need to be advanced.
You do not need to be perfect.
You simply need to love yoga enough to want to keep learning.

If something in you has been quietly considering this for a long time, perhaps this is your sign to stop waiting for the perfect moment.

One of the biggest things that stops people enrolling in teacher training is the idea that they need to already be “good” at yoga — flexible enough, strong enough or confident enough.
But in my experience, the people who gain the most from training are often not the people performing the most advanced poses. They are the people willing to stay curious, practise consistently, listen, learn, question and begin.
We recently changed our training from a 3 month format into a 6 month format because we wanted to create more spaciousness for integration and real learning. This allows time to revisit material, absorb what is being taught and continue living your normal life alongside the course.
Many past students have worked full time, raised children, run businesses and still completed the training in a way that felt grounded and sustainable.

One of the most common things I hear from people considering yoga teacher training is:
“I don’t think I’m advanced enough.”
But over many years of teaching, I’ve found that the people who gain the most from training are rarely the people performing the most complicated postures.
They are usually the people who genuinely love yoga and feel curious to understand it more deeply.
Some people join because they dream of teaching classes in their community one day. Others join because they want to deepen their personal practice, understand the body and mind more clearly, support friends and family, or integrate yoga into an existing profession.
Over the years we have had students complete our trainings whilst already working as school teachers, psychologists, nurses, massage therapists, Pilates teachers, allied health practitioners, social workers and parents wanting to reconnect with themselves through practice.
Our Balanced Practice Yoga 200hr Teacher Training begins July 25th 2026 and was designed to create genuine depth whilst still fitting within modern life.
The training runs over 6 months online with weekly live Zoom sessions for discussion, practice teaching, mentorship & personalised feedback.
One of the things we feel strongly about is that yoga cannot be learned intellectually alone. Practice itself is an essential part of the process.
For this reason, unlimited YogaBellingen classes are included throughout the duration of training, both online and in-studio through our Bellingen and Sydney communities. The value of these classes alone is over $1120 and they become an important part of building consistency, embodiment and integration throughout the course.
Together, Liz and I teach from years of experience across yoga, yoga therapy, anatomy and embodied movement practices.
The training is grounded in yoga history, philosophy, pranayama whilst remaining responsive to modern understanding of the body and nervous system.
Most importantly, we wanted to create a course that supports people as individuals — not simply producing yoga teachers, but helping yoga become a more integrated and meaningful part of everyday life

Our Synergy Vinyasa Intermediate Level class has now moved to Wednesdays at 6.30pm.

This class is designed for students who already have a steady and consistent yoga practice and a good understanding of both the foundations of yoga and the way their own body moves and responds.

Intermediate level does not simply mean “advanced” or “harder.” It means developing greater responsiveness, awareness and the ability to work with more complexity in an intelligent and sustainable way.

Within the class there may be stronger postures, more intricate transitions and more refined pranayama and breath techniques offered. But the deeper focus is really on learning how to practise with clarity, steadiness and self-direction.

Like all of our Yoga Synergy classes, the practice follows a progressive 9 week structure. Each week builds upon the last, allowing the body and nervous system time to adapt, integrate and deepen into the sequence. Repetition becomes a pathway to understanding — not just physically, but energetically and mentally as well.

If you have been practising regularly and are curious about joining, but feel unsure about whether the class is suitable for you, please send me a message. I’m always happy to help guide you toward the right class for where you are in your practice.
