Dr Yang is now available to see new and existing patients. He is passionate about getting to know his patients, understanding what matters to them, and developing trusted, long-term relationships with individuals and families.

A UK-trained GP, Dr Yang previously worked in the NHS and served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, teaching medical students. He is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate and high-quality care across all areas of general practice.

Dr Yang speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Outside medicine, he enjoys swimming, badminton and exploring the outdoors with his wife and two young children.

Living with pelvic pain? You don’t have to simply put up with it.

Pelvic pain can be complex. It may be related to conditions such as endometriosis, but often there are multiple contributing factors — and finding the right approach starts with taking the time to understand the whole picture.

At Banksia Belmont, Dr Adlina Hanafiah has a special interest in chronic pelvic pain and complex women’s health, particularly endometriosis. She offers extended consultations to allow time for a comprehensive assessment, thoughtful diagnosis and an individualised management plan.

Her approach incorporates evidence-based medical care alongside biopsychosocial and lifestyle principles, recognising that persistent pelvic pain is rarely just about managing one symptom. Where more advanced assessment or treatment is needed, Adlina can also work closely with specialist colleagues as part of multidisciplinary care.

If pelvic pain is affecting your work, relationships, exercise, intimacy or simply your ability to get through the day, it deserves to be taken seriously.

New Patients Welcome – meet Dr Adlina Hanafiah!

We're delighted to welcome Dr Adlina Hanafiah to our team at Banksia Belmont.

Adlina is an experienced GP Obstetrician with a particular passion for women’s health, including chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis, perimenopause and menopause, reproductive health, pregnancy and postnatal care. She takes a compassionate, highly personalised approach, with time to understand the whole person rather than simply treating individual symptoms.

Alongside her women’s health expertise, Adlina brings extensive experience in rural general practice and procedural medicine. She also provides IUD and Implanon procedures, pessary management, skin excisions, eating disorder management and ongoing ADHD care.

From preconception and pregnancy through to children’s health, hormonal wellbeing and long-term preventive care, Adlina particularly values the continuity and relationships that make General Practice so rewarding.

We’re very excited to have her joining our growing Belmont team – and Dr Adlina is welcoming new patients now.

**An Important Update from Lifeline Medical Centre**

We are pleased to share that Lifeline Medical Centre has entered a new chapter, with Banksia Medical Centre taking over the ownership and operation of the practice.

We would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Dr Nouman Qadir, Sumaira and the Lifeline team for the many years of care, dedication and commitment they have given to the practice, its patients and the Belmont community.

For our patients, it remains business as usual. The practice will continue operating from the same location, and our priority is to ensure continuity of care and a smooth transition for everyone.

Dr Nouman will continue consulting at the practice, and our existing team will be working closely with the new management. Two specialist GPs Dr Adlina and Dr Jasper will be accepting new patients starting next week. More specialists are joining us in the coming months.

Over time, Lifeline Medical Centre will transition to become Banksia Medical Centre Belmont, while continuing to build upon the relationships and foundations established by Lifeline.

We look forward to caring for our existing patients and becoming an even stronger part of the Belmont community.
