⚠️ Flood Watch Alert for the Benalla Community ⚠️

With Benalla currently on flood watch, we encourage everyone to stay informed and take extra care over the coming days.

βœ… Monitor weather forecasts and emergency updates regularly.
βœ… Download and check the VicEmergency App for the latest warnings, advice and emergency information.
βœ… Visit VicTraffic for up-to-date information on road closures, traffic disruptions and road conditions.
βœ… Never drive, walk or ride through floodwaters. Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.

Benalla Health services remain open and available to support our community at this time.

If local conditions or road closures make it difficult for you to attend in person, the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VED) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for urgent, non-life-threatening health concerns. Through a video call on your phone, tablet or computer, you can speak directly with emergency nurses and doctors from anywhere in Victoria. The service is free and does not require a referral or Medicare card.

To access the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department, visit: 🌐 https://ved.vic.gov.au

Please note that VED is for non-life-threatening conditions only. In a life-threatening emergency, always call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

The safety of our community is our highest priority. Please check in on family, friends, neighbours and anyone who may need extra support during this time.

Stay vigilant, stay informed and most importantly, stay safe.

Once baby arrives, families can also receive ongoing encouragement through our Breastfeeding SMS Project, designed to provide practical information, useful resources and support during the first eight weeks.

Every breastfeeding journey is unique, and we're here to help every step of the way.
