Every year the flu sweeps through Bendigo and every year the story is the same. The people who got vaccinated early sailed through. The ones who waited? A week in bed, a mountain of tissues, and a lot of regret.

A great moment from earlier this week at Bendigo Doctors. 💙

We were proud to welcome Federal MP Lisa Chesters to the clinic on Tuesday 5 May as part of our community flu vaccine campaign, and she didn’t just visit, she rolled up her sleeve and got vaccinated alongside our team.

It’s a simple action, but it sends a strong message: prevention starts with leadership.

This winter, we’re focused on making flu vaccination more visible, more accessible, and easier for everyone in our Bendigo community to access. Staying protected shouldn’t be complicated.

Flu vaccines are still available at Bendigo Doctors. Eligible patients can receive theirs at no cost, and all GP consultations are bulk billed.
