We’re walking for Autism this May!
The Connecting Futures team is taking part in the Walk for Autism fundraiser by Aspect, stepping up to raise awareness and $1,500 in support of the autism community.

As an inclusive youth employment specialist, raising awareness of autism and championing inclusive opportunities for young people is at the heart of what we do. Every step helps spark conversations, build understanding, and support meaningful inclusion.

To keep our team motivated with their steps, we will have a prize for the winner and also present the wooden spoon.

Tate’s Journey with Connecting Futures

Tate came to Connecting Futures with a clear goal — to build a sustainable career in civil construction and work toward a career in mining. Living with a lifelong intellectual disability, Tate had the motivation and experience but lacked confidence and support in navigating complex recruitment processes.

With tailored, person‑centred career services from Youth Employment Mentors Luke and Aaron, Tate secured full‑time employment as a Ranger/Land Clearer in a role aligned with his career goals — including supported pathways into the dream career in the mining industry.

Today, Tate is proud to be in a career that gives him confidence, purpose, and a clear future pathway. Most importantly, he feels genuinely supported every step of the way on his career journey. ✨
