Home Instead Gold Coast presents A Lap for Parkinson’s – 2Gether. It’s being held during April (Parkinson’s Awareness Month) to help those living with Parkinson’s on the Gold Coast.

On the morning of Saturday 30 April 2022, join Parkinson's Queensland, Atkins Health, and Dr Meenakshi Raj - Gold Coast Neurology to walk a lap for Parkinson’s on the track at The Gold Coast Performance Centre. At the event you will be able to try out some activities and movement stations with Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists. You will also be able to see the support available for you.

Various symptoms of PD, but certainly need a neurologist to make the diagnosis

Today is World Parkinson’s Day.

Parkinson’s can affect different people in different ways. Symptoms often start out small. Early diagnosis and starting a treatment plan sooner rather than later can help control symptoms better.

Join in these free online fitness classes for people with Parkinson’s, family and carers.

Delivered by certified personal trainer Donella Alberti.

These sessions are aimed at all fitness levels and will be challenging but fun.

Sessions run the mornings of 9 and 16 November.

I truly empathise with all migraines patients, the suffering is horrendous. So much can be done, Many treatment options are available

Managing Migraines can be very challenging, certainly requires a disciplined multifaceted approach.
- meditate
- sleep hygiene
- hydration
- avoid hunger
-talk to your doctor- prophylactic treatment options
- newer medications are available

We are still going...... will continue to strive for CURE

On World Parkinson's Day, Dr Raj led her own Really Big Walk on the Gold Coast.

The turn out was outstanding, with close to a hundred people joining in on the day. The team strolled along the shore as the morning sun rose over the sea.

In total, Dr Raj's team raised an incredible $4367!
