Meet the wonderful Sarah, who's been with us at Pindara for 19 years as a midwife, lactation consultant and midwifery educator 👋

This , her best piece of advice for mums is to "be kind to yourself and remember the right way is whatever works for you and your baby. Don't put pressure on yourself based on what you see on social media and other people’s opinions, especially with breastfeeding. What works for one family may not be right for another."

Sarah says her favourite part of her job is supporting and empowering mothers during such a vulnerable time, especially to achieve their feeding goals.

"My favourite memories are of seeing mums' happy faces when their baby feed successfully, especially if they have had a difficult journey and seeing the pride on their faces when they have a positive experience after a challenging time with a previous baby."

Here at Pindara Private Hospital, our midwives and nurses are here to support mums with feeding their baby, however they choose to do so.

Our Special Care Nursery at Pindara Private Hospital 👶

Sometimes our newest arrivals need a little extra support. At Pindara Private, you have access to our Level 4 Special Care Nursery, caring for babies from 32 weeks gestation.

Our consultant paediatricians oversee each baby’s care, supported by specially trained neonatal nurses who provide 24-hour monitoring and support.

Features of our Special Care Nursery include:
