This year's National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day celebrates the voices, stories and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities.

The 2026 theme, "Living Our Truth," recognises the importance of sharing knowledge across generations, honouring our Elders, and empowering our children to grow up strong in culture, identity and community.

Today, and every day, let's listen to our children, celebrate their achievements, and continue creating safe, supportive spaces where they can thrive.

🌼 Djilba is here! 🌼

As we move into Djilba, the Noongar Season of Conception, we welcome the transition from the cool, rainy days of winter to the warmer days ahead.

On Whadjuk Noongar Country, this is a time when wildflowers begin to bloom, native plants flourish, and new life emerges. You'll start to see the beautiful yellow and cream blossoms of acacias and lemon myrtle, while birds such as the koolbardi (magpie), djiti djiti (w***y wagtail), and wattlebirds become more active as nesting season continues.

Take a moment to get outdoors, enjoy the sunshine, and appreciate the signs of new beginnings that Djilba brings.

🖤💛❤️ What a wonderful way to celebrate NAIDOC Week in Merriwa! ❤️💛🖤

Our Arche Aboriginal Health Team was proud to be part of another fantastic community celebration, spending the day connecting with Mob, sharing information about our Integrated Team Care (ITC) Program, and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

It was great to see so many people coming together to celebrate culture, community and the strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall for a yarn, asked questions and took home information about the support we offer.

A big thank you to the organisers, volunteers and everyone who made the day such a success. We feel privileged to be part of these celebrations and to continue walking alongside our community.

🖤💛❤️ Another deadly day celebrating NAIDOC with community! ❤️💛🖤

Our Arche Aboriginal Health Team loved being part of the Mirrabooka NAIDOC celebrations, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones and sharing a yarn about the support available through our Integrated Team Care (ITC) Program.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat, picked up some resources and learnt more about how we're supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with chronic health conditions.

Events like these remind us how strong our community is when we come together to celebrate culture, connection and community.

Thank you, Mirrabooka, for having us. We can't wait to see you again next year!

🖤💛❤️ What a deadly day at the Champion Centre NAIDOC Festival! ❤️💛🖤

Our Arche Aboriginal Health Team had a fantastic time connecting with community, having plenty of yarns, sharing information about our Integrated Team Care (ITC) Program, and celebrating 50 Years of NAIDOC – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat, picked up resources, and learnt more about the support available through our team. It was wonderful to see so many families, Elders and community members coming together to celebrate culture, connection and community.

Thank you to the City of Armadale and Champion Centre, and everyone involved in organising such a deadly event. We are proud to stand alongside our community during NAIDOC Week and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

🖤💛❤️ Arche Health NAIDOC Celebration ❤️💛🖤 50 Years of Deadly

What a deadly day we shared together celebrating NAIDOC Week at Arche Health Head Office!

A huge thank you to Thairon Jansen from Manjiti Didgeridoo & Dance for delivering a heartfelt Acknowledgement to Country and sharing the powerful sounds of the didgeridoo to begin our celebration.

We also enjoyed a delicious lunch by Standing Fork, bringing everyone together to yarn, connect and celebrate the strength, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The afternoon was filled with craft activities, giving staff the opportunity to come together, learn and celebrate in the spirit of this year's NAIDOC celebrations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. Together, we continue to celebrate culture, community and connection.

who is neurodivergent young male or from a culturally diverse community

Our Peer Worker offers one-on-one support for young people through shared lived experience in a safe, respectful, confidential and non-judgmental space.

Peer support can provide a space to talk, build confidence, set goals, explore challenges, or even connect through activities like board games and art.

If you'd like to learn more about peer support or see if it's the right fit for you speak to our reception or one of the clinician staff.

Good news! The Emergency Ambulance Services Trial has been extended until 31 December 2026.

Eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Western Australia can continue to access lower cost emergency ambulance services through St John WA.

If you ever need an ambulance, make sure the ambulance officer knows that you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

If you need help with an ambulance bill, you can contact St John WA Billing on (08) 9334 1212 or email [email protected].

Please share this information with your family and community – you never know when it could help someone. 🖤💛❤️
