The research team would now like to expand the group to include others who work irregular or unpredictable hours.

The Curtin Medical Research Institute’s mission is to enhance lives through pioneering biomedical research that improves our understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of complex health challenges, including terminal and lifelong conditions.

They would like to form a network of 15-20 consumers and community members to provide a lived experience lens to the research in the focus areas of: musculoskeletal health, cardiovascular and metabolic health, dementia and neurodegeneration, and immunity and repair.

The group will discuss the aims, progress and results of the project, as well as advise on future research directions.

Insufficient physical activity among young people aged 18-25 in Western Australia is a growing public concern, contributing to poorer physical and mental health outcomes.

The research team are looking for 6-8 young people aged 18-25 to join a Youth Advisory Group.

DETAILS:
💬 Join a research team that is working to develop new approaches that reflect young people's lived experiences, motivations and barriers to participation
◽You need to be aged between 18-25
◽Have an interest in physical promotion, regardless of whether you are active or struggling to be active
◽Be based in WA (Perth Metropolitan or rural/regional WA)
◽This opportunity will involve meeting up to 4-times a year (one hour each) over a 2-year project period
