SwanCare

SwanCare Caring for WA seniors since 1961, SwanCare is a full service not-for-profit aged care community.

The first residents embraced SwanCare living (then known as Swan Cottage Homes) in 1961, shaping the future of the not-for-profit and registered charity, which has become one of Western Australia’s leading providers of quality retirement living and aged care. More than 1,000 residents call SwanCare’s Bentley Park home, residing in one of four aged care centres or in the vibrant retirement living c

ommunity. The 15 hectare site is WA’s largest all-in-one retirement and aged care campus, including SwanCare at Home and services such as cafes, hairdressers, doctors, grocery store, and a leisure precinct with gym, pool, bowling green, and more. SwanCare also operates Australind Rise, a boutique retirement village situated by the Leschenault Inlet, only 1.5 hours south of Perth. The tight knit community enjoys social catch ups and quiet leisure facilities. SwanCare offers an engaging community and endeavours to enrich the lives of their residents. The company strives to provide a caring community where every person feels safe and has the freedom and choice to live the life they desire.

Residents at SwanCare Ningana are enjoying time in the garden, getting their hands dirty and soaking up the warmth of the sun. The simplest of moments to ground the soul, planting herbs and pansies and looking ahead to the joy of new growth. 🌿🌼

On Tuesday, gentlemen from across SwanCare came together for a BBQ on the Balcony in honour of Men’s Health Week, in support of Healthy Male.

Prioritising health is not something we do alone, so our female Senior Leaders stepped in behind the grill, giving the men of SwanCare time to connect, share experiences and strengthen community ties.

The event highlighted the importance of staying connected, having open conversations and looking out for one another, along with ‘knowing your numbers’ to support a healthy lifestyle. Awareness begins with simple check-ins and grows when we create space for meaningful support.

Let’s keep the conversation going and continue supporting one another every day.

We were treated to something truly special at SwanCare Waminda last week 🎹

Seven-year-old piano prodigy mayalittlepianist performed a beautiful concert for our residents, and it’s safe to say she left everyone absolutely amazed. With talent well beyond her years, Maya played with confidence, passion and a joy that filled the room.

Our residents were blown away, many sharing how much the performance meant to them and how wonderful it was to see such a young musician sharing her gift.

Thank you, Maya, for bringing so much warmth and happiness to our community. We can’t wait to see where your incredible talent takes you 💙

All aboard to the Philippines! 🌴✈️

Residents from SwanCare Kingia and Tandara recently set off on a vibrant Armchair Travel adventure, trading their living rooms for the colourful sights sounds and flavours of the Philippines. 💛

Led by our newest lifestyle team member Maria L. dressed in beautiful traditional Filipino attire, the experience came alive with music storytelling and culture. A truly special moment unfolded when Tandara resident Zeny B. joined Maria in singing a heartfelt lullaby in her native dialect, filling the room with warmth and emotion. 🎶

Maria then lit up the space with a breathtaking Pandanggo sa Ilaw performance, gracefully balancing candles in glasses including one on her head! The elegance skill and sparkle of this traditional dance left everyone amazed and smiling. 🕯️

Rounding out the experience, residents enjoyed a taste of a vibrant purple steamed rice cake, adding a sweet and colourful finale to an already unforgettable day.

From laughter to connection to shared cultural moments, it was a joyful journey to remember. Huge thanks to our amazing team and residents for bringing the spirit of the Philippines to life. 🌺

Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it… vogue ✨

Cue the runway magic at Bentley Park, where style met sparkle in the most delightful way. A huge shoutout to the fabulous team at Kimbo's Fashions and the SwanCare Centres Auxiliary for bringing the glam and a whole lot of heart.

Our stunning resident models lit up the room, serving looks that were equal parts chic, cosy and confidence-boosting. Think vibrant colours, effortlessly stylish pieces and comfort that doesn’t compromise on flair.

Proof that great style has no age limit and retirement is just another excuse to look fabulous 💃

🚲 Happy World Bicycle Day

Today we celebrate the bicycle as a simple, sustainable and inclusive way to stay active and connected.

At SwanCare, we are proud of our long-standing partnership with Cycling Without Age - Perth, bringing weekly rides to our residential aged care residents across our campus. For those who can no longer cycle independently, these rides offer something truly special - a chance to get outdoors, reminisce, socialise and reconnect with the world around them.

It is a partnership built on community, connection and the belief that age is no barrier to experiencing joy and freedom.

Our residents look forward to these rides each week and the smiles say it all. If you spot Cycling Without Age out and about in the wider community, be sure to say hello. You might even be invited along for the ride.

Because at SwanCare, movement, connection and community belong to everyone.
