Have you ever wondered why flowers have been part of farewells for thousands of years?
Across cultures and throughout history, flowers have been used to express love, remembrance and respect.
Their beauty is fleeting, reminding us that life itself is precious. They can offer comfort when words feel hard to find, brighten a space with warmth, and reflect the personality of the person being honoured.
We often see families choose flowers that hold a special connection whether it be a favourite bloom from the garden, native foliage from a much-loved place, or seasonal flowers that simply feel right.
We've had families create their own flower art or decorate shrouds with petals from their personal gardens too. There is no rule about what flowers should be. The most meaningful arrangements are often those chosen with love.
Do you have a favourite flower, or one that holds a special memory for you?
