Winter recommendations if getting to the gym is a little tough right now ❄️💪🏽
1. Set your “go to bed” alarm, not just your wake-up alarm ⏰
Winter mornings are hard enough without being exhausted. Set a reminder the night before to start winding down so you’re getting enough sleep and making that early alarm a little less painful.
2. Have a little morning ritual you look forward to ☕️
Maybe it’s your favourite coffee, pre-workout, a warm drink, your favourite podcast in the car, give yourself something to enjoy that makes getting up feel a little easier.
3. Put your gym clothes out the night before 👟
Remove the decisions when it’s freezing and dark. Clothes ready, bag packed, water bottle filled, just wake up and go.
4. Don’t sit down when you get home 😂
Especially after a long day on the at work, or driving around running errands. The second you get home and get comfy, it’s game over. Change straight into your gear and head in or pack it in the car and go straight to the gym.
5. Plan your gym days like you plan everything else 📅
Life gets busy! Pick your days ahead of time and treat them like an appointment you can’t miss.
6. Make the drive part of your routine 🚗
For those who travel a bit to get to the gym, save your favourite playlist, podcast or audiobook for the drive so it becomes your little reset time.
7. Start with a realistic goal, not an unrealistic one 🙌🏽
Don’t tell yourself you need to be there 6 days a week. Start with 2–3 sessions you can actually commit to and build from there.
Winter doesn’t need to stop your progress, it’s just about making showing up a little easier. 💪🏽
8. Don’t underestimate the power of just showing up ✨
Not every workout has to be your best. Some days the win is simply getting through the door, moving your body and doing something for you. Future you will always be grateful you did. 🖤
