DO YOU FEEL LONELY??
Something I've noticed talking to a lot of women in their late 30s and 40s who feel lonely inside their own marriage:
They're not stuck because they're not trying. They've been trying for years.
They're stuck because they've been quietly disappearing — bottling everything up, walking on eggshells, performing okay-ness — for so long they've forgotten who they are underneath it.
And the advice they keep getting — "communicate better," "set boundaries," "try harder," "go to counselling" — is making it worse. Because it tells the woman who's already doing 90% of the work to do more.
She doesn't need to try harder. She needs to come home to herself.
If this hits, tell me — what's been the hardest part for you?
