Blackbutt Medical Centre will close at 3:00pm on Tuesday 4 Aug 26 for staff training.
We will reopen at 8:00am on Wednesday 5 Aug 26.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to some of our patients, however conducting training ensures we are able to provide comprehensive services to our community.

New GP Joining Blackbutt Medical Centre

We are pleased to welcome Dr Sanath Wijayasuriya to our team. Dr Sanath is a highly experienced GP with over 25 years working across internal medicine and general practice.

He has worked extensively in general medicine, cardiology, respiratory medicine and neurology, and completed a four year MD in Family Medicine. Most recently, he worked as a Consultant Family Physician while also maintaining over 20 years in private general practice.

Dr Sanath takes a holistic, patient centred approach to care, with a special interest in cardiovascular, respiratory, skin, hormonal and chronic health conditions.
