Learning new skill.

Community Participation / Skill Development

This week our client participated in crochet for the first time as she explored new activities and hobbies. Due to having disabilities, the task was physically challenging; however, she showed great determination and willingness to try.
With staff support and encouragement, the client was able to engage in the activity and appeared to enjoy the experience. Crochet provided an opportunity to support her fine motor skills, concentration, creativity, and confidence.
The client was happy and expressed excitement about learning something new. She stated that she enjoyed the activity and would like to continue learning more about crochet in future sessions.
Staff will continue to encourage and support her participation by exploring suitable techniques and adaptations to make the activity more comfortable and enjoyable for her.

🌺 Honouring ANZAC Day – Live Love Shine Community Services 🌺
ANZAC Day is commemorated each year on 25 April as a time of remembrance, respect, and gratitude.
ANZAC stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. On 25 April 1915, Australian and New Zealand soldiers landed at Gallipoli during World War I. Although the campaign was not successful, the bravery, courage, endurance, and mateship shown by these soldiers became known as the enduring Spirit of the ANZACs.
Today, ANZAC Day honours all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and sacrificed in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions. It also recognises the dedication of nurses, medics, and support workers who served alongside them.
At Live Love Shine Community Services, we pause to reflect on their service, courage, and sacrifice. We remember those who gave so much for the freedom and peace we enjoy today.
