It's called the fight/flight response and should usually be triggered in short bursts, to help us respond to a fright or a threat.

The problems begin when we stay in this state for longer than we should and unfortunately, modern societal expectations mean that this is occuring more and more.

Longer working hours, more responsibilities, less sleep, less quiet time. Our own needs are pushed down to do what we need to do to survive. Not from a threat, or danger, but our lifestyle.

We've both been a bit quiet lately. We are still operating our business, Thomas is just taking a well deserved 3 week holiday (his first holiday in 4 years), so I am respecting his space and also not seeing clients over this time.
So if you have gone to our booking page and seen no available spots, this is why.
We will both be taking bookings again from August 10th.
We are a home based business, located in a tranquil setting near Imbil.
We look forward to seeing all of our wonderful clients again soon. And we always welcome new clients too.

I helped a client this morning break a generational pattern.

In fact, about 50% of my clients have some sort of familial, generational, ancestral or even past life attachment or pattern that has been affecting their life, often without them even realising it.

And these patterns are real, and they continue to be passed down, until someone decides to break the pattern.

Kinesiology is an excellent modality for identifying and clearing these generational patterns and there is often a sense of relief, or feeling lighter, once it has been done.

If you feel like you are dragging around not just your stuff, but the stuff passed down from your family tree. If you are aware of unhealthy patterns, but aren't sure what to do about them, give Kinesiology a go!

Kinesiology doesn't diagnose, but nor do we judge.

What we do is listen. Pay attention to your worries and concerns and then tap into your body, where the real answers are.

9 signs of a cortisol dysregulation - when cortisol levels elevate due to prolonged stress.

1. Thyroid slows down - hormone production drops which severely slows metabolism.
2. Sleep disruption - sleep/wake cycle disrupted. Wired and tired. Suppressed melatonin.
3. Gut issues - gut becomes more permeable - (leaky gut), meaning undigested food, toxins and bacteria pass through intestinal wall to bloodstream, triggering immune responses, inflammation and more.
4. Progesterone levels drop - affecting mood and sleep.
5. Blood sugar is harder to regulate - increasing insulin resistance - resulting in weight gain, fatigue and more.
6. Memory and focus take a nose dive.
7. Nervous system goes into overdrive and cannot be calmed. You are trapped in the fight/flight response.
8. Immune system dysregulation - increased inflammation. Auto immune diseases. Allergies. Immune deficiency.
9. Body holds onto fat reserves - elevated cortisol indicates a perceived threat to the body. The body responds unconsciously by slowing the metabolism and holding onto reserves (particularly in the mid-section). So weight loss at this time is not a calorie or will power issue, but a built in safety issue.
