For some clients every session is the same. Or very similar. Because that is regulation for them. The predictability, the pattern, the safe space. For this teenage boy it’s independance, it’s noting the environment shift and change with the seasons, its work related skills. Its kindness to self and others and it is active mindfulness.

Equine and nature based learning can be so much for so many. It can be the deeply healing and magical work with the horses, it can also be picking fruit and flowers.

Join us for a heart led, soul filling, pony and nature loving, community event at BVEAL. A community of like minded people wanting to deepen into the why of horses. A watch party of Rescued Hearts, a beautifully created film showcasing the power of healing with horses. Older children are welcome. No horse experience needed.

The plan is to land with a nourishing mindfulness practice followed by watching Rescued hearts together in the top shed. We will break for intermission and have a short optional group Equine Assisted Learning session. A tiny feel into Nature Based Therapy and Equine Assisted Learning. We will finish the film with some light refreshments and close with a group share.

Book via the link in our bio.

Welcome to our holistic health series. Here we will unpack some key principles of nature based learning that we can work towards together in 1-1 sessions and in our group gatherings. Not a tick box, a yes or no, a wrong or right. Just an opportunity to reflect and make some small shifts in your world.

Today we spot light emotional health.

Some questions you could ask yourself are

Am I able to notice, name and express emotions as they arrive?

What is one small step I could take to have more awareness of my emotional health in my day to day life?

How is my emotional health impacting my relationships, work, hobbies and everyday life?

What do I rate my emotional health out of 10 today?

Follow along for the next part of this series 🫢🏻✨

Sometimes we don’t interact with the horses at all… and this is why.

Practicing presence and acceptance in nature will guide you home. Back to your most β€˜youest’ you, because in nature there is no judgement. There is no need to perform, no social hierarchy, no judgement. Just unconditional holding and love. Reflecting back to yourself that you are enough, you are perfect just as you are, you are safe, you are loved, you are majestically powerful and soft at the same time.

Because nature based learning and equine assisted learning walk along side each other. With presence, unconditional love, grounding, regulating goodness from nature, the little floofs or the horses. 🫢🏻✨🌷

πŸ“šBook by Inner Harmony Haven πŸ“š

This session we started with a snack and book in the shed focusing on emotional regulation and friendships.

Then onto making an angry potion in the magical shed.

Some chicken cuddles practicing our balloon breathing and noticing the chickens felt safe and confident with us if we were calm.

Then onto some guinea cuddles again focusing on friendships, boundaries and regulation.

We finished with a play in the tree house and swings.

Happy birthday to my darling angel pony best friends πŸ©·πŸ¦„πŸŒΈπŸ§

Why horses?

Horses can sense how humans are feeling and adjust accordingly. That can have profound impact on humans nervous system simply by tuning in. They show up unapologetically themselves without masking, without thinking about social ques. They are just their fully embodied selves. Grounded. Present. And right here.

Today we celebrate the horses birthday and say thank you to our co workers. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being here in this world and choosing to work with us. Thank you for teaching so many with your quiet yet powerful wisdom.
