🦴Paediatric fractures benefit from careful assessment and precise casting technique. A young child presented with an undisplaced, stable supracondylar fracture of the humerus, the most common paediatric elbow fracture. These injuries can be safely managed in hand therapy with three weeks of an above-elbow cast. An above-elbow Plaster of Paris cast was applied for accurate moulding and stability, with a soft-cast layer added to allow easy, saw-free removal. This helps create a less stressful experience for children and families. This management reflects current best practice for stable paediatric elbow fractures.
