She graduated as a Speech Pathologist and Audiologist at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 2002. She then went onto specialise as a Paediatric Feeding Therapist at Manchester University, United Kingdom. She set up a paediatric feeding department in Havering in the United Kingdom, treating babies and children with a range of feeding and swallowing difficulties. Mand
y has worked as a paediatric feeding therapist at Royal North Shore Hospital in the neonatal and paediatric wards. Mandy has extensive experience in assessing and treating newborns, infants and children with various feeding difficulties including: Medical and behavioural feeding difficulties; difficulties with breast/bottle feeding; gastro-oesophageal reflux; transitioning from feeding tubes, transitioning to solids and fussy and behavioural eaters. Being a Speech Pathologist, Mandy-Lee has extensive knowledge in the anatomy and physiology of swallowing and feeding, giving her the skills to assess and diagnose oro-motor feeding difficulties. Mandy-Lee is also an SOS (Sensory-Oral-Sequential) and Wilbarger trained therapist enabling her to understand and treat feeding from a sensory perspective. Mandy his also a qualified Orofacial Myologist, working on the muscles of the face and jaw to ensure that they are all working properly. Mandy-Lee Adno has presented various lectures and has been an integral part of in-service training for numerous organisations including Tresillian, Aspen Pharmaceuticals and Nestle.
