Original home to the 'Island Red' Goldendoodles, our dogs are recognized throughout the Atlantic provinces and Canada wide. Our dogs receive lots of love, play, training, enrichment, exercise and socialization. We do not farm out our dogs with other families or guardian homes as we feel it is our responsibility and express duty to properly care for our dogs under our own close supervision. We feed only high quality foods as we feel a healthy dog starts from the inside out. Goldendoodles are known for their health, longevity, versatility, working ability and structure. They possess sound personality and temperament with a personality that is eager, alert, self confident, friendly, empathetic, reliable, trust worthy and above all else an exceptional family companion. Goldendoodles are dogs that are outstanding family companions and improvements on their ancestors retaining the required disposition to become qualified emotional support or service dogs. Our dogs are our personal companions, raised and live inside our country home with access to our beautiful 12 acre farm property. We take the health of our dogs very seriously but approach life with dogs in an easy, common sense manner that helps families to understand how to raise a well rounded, self assured dog. Our dogs are most specifically our family companions with a temperament that is friendly, eager and most of all loving with children and other animals. We take great pride in our dogs and our standards. We have TRULY small Goldendoodles. What is an 'English Teddy Bear Goldendoodle'? Our Goldendoodle females are all from European Golden Retriever lineage. The English Golden Retriever lineage produces a thick bone structure and wide body style giving our Goldendoodle puppies their signature 'Teddy Bear Goldendoodle' look. ​ Temperment & Personality: Goldendoodles are an intelligent and obedient family companion. They are full of personality and have a zest for life. They are everybody's friend and devoted to their family. They are friendly towards children, other dogs and pets and are very social dogs that are happiest when with people. Their intelligence, eagerness to please and love of learning make them easy to train. They are a small sized family dog with easy dispositions and temperments. As a hybrid cross Goldendoodles require a moderate amount of exercise, their coats do require clipping as they do not shed. They are easily adaptable to any lifestyle and can live in the city or country. Miniature, Toy and Micro Goldendoodles are very versatile and will excel in activities such as agility, flyball, hiking, boating, longboarding and kyaking. They are excellent family companions, with children and other dogs/animals and also love to relax with their family when they are not participating is activities. Their life expectancy is approximately 15 years. Goldendoodles are earmarked as exceptional emotional support animals. This means families that are also looking for support related to stress, anxiety, depression, general mental health/happiness and support for physical disabilities/illness can take comfort in knowing Goldendoodles are very versatile. Our Dogs: Our Goldendoodle females are all European (English Teddy Bear); produced by crossing an English Golden Retriever from health certified lineage with a registered Miniature/Toy Poodle from health certified lineage. Our Males are purebred, health tested,CKC registered Miniature & Toy Poodles, each with beautiful curly coats that are non-shedding and hypo-allergenic, this is carried forward from their lineage of registered red and chocolate parents and grandparents. Miniature, Toy and Micro Goldendoodles are non shedding and live easily with families with moderate to severe allergies. When Puppies are Available: Puppies are adoped out via non-breeding contract only. They will receive a comprehensive health exam, first vaccination, flea/tick treatment, worm treatment and microchip. Puppies will also be accompanied by a puppy pack that includes a blanket, toys, training treats, a bag of high quality dog food, a harness and a leash. All puppies will be offered with a 5 year health guarantee against serious hereditary genetic diseases (details in contract). All items listed above are *free* and are sent home for the benefit of your puppy therefor no discounts are offered if you already have these items or if you choose not to take them. Puppies can go to their new homes no sooner than 8 weeks of age. **WE DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES VIA AIR CARGO** This is for the health/welfare and safety of the puppy and much less stressful for us, puppy and new family. *Please contact us for a quote on personal delivery.* Our dogs are well suited to individuals with allergies or sensitivities. We do not guarantee size, coat colour, coat texture, gender or energy levels. These crosses will often produce puppies in the same litter with different variations of each of these qualities. No cross breed dog is eligible to be registered with the 'Canadian Kennel Club (CKC)' or the 'American Kennel Club (AKC)' therefor there are no 'registered' Goldendoodles or Goldendoodle breeders. Some breeders are required to obtain a provincial or general kennel license simply meaning they are inspected in the province of which they reside and are provided with a 'registration" number. Some breeders choose to become members with a general alternative Goldendoodle dog club or registration organization. Goldendoodles are a cross breed of which there are no breed standards that are recognized through the CKC or the AKC. ​ Advanced Reservations: We do not breed puppies just for the sake of breeding puppies. Our dogs are very much a part of our family and as such we take great care when considering breeding. We take advanced reservations via deposit as our way of ensuring that potential adopters take the life long commitment of adding a puppy to their family very seriously. Great things are always worth waiting for! ​ A Bit About Us: Born and raised in the Maritimes, I moved to British Columbia for 18 years where I worked for the Ministry of Education and spent my spare time caring for various types of livestock and companion animals. I moved to beautiful Prince Edward Island and after working for the PEI Humane Society as an Animal Protection and Bylaw Officer I found my true calling as an Alternative & Holistic Health Instructor, Equine Facilitated Mental Health Professional, Animal Communicator and Founder/Owner of Steep Hill Stable Enrichment Center; an Alternative & Holistic Health Care Centre for people and animals. Our 12 acre property in the country is where I share our home, time, love and energy with our Horses, Dogs and 2 Cats. Our dogs live in our country home with lots of freedom to run and play. Our Centre offers Alternative and Holistic health care through certification, workshops, Equine Guided Healing sessions and Equine Facilitated Mental Health Therapy. Pets are our passion!
