Assistance Dogs though are in a league of their own - trained professionals when it comes to guiding, assisting and providing crucial alerts to people living with a disability.

QDN celebrated Assistance Dog Day (4 August). International Assistance Dog Week is from 3 August – 9 August and shines a light on service dogs and their trainers.
The impact these highly trained canines have on the lives of people with disability is life changing. From guiding people who are blind or have low vision, to alerting to medical emergencies, these dogs perform essential tasks that foster independence and companionship.
