The Hills Women’s Health Physio & Pilates

The Hills Women’s Health Physio & Pilates I love helping women from pre-pregnancy to beyond. I believe that Women’s Health needs more attent Hello. I am really looking forward to working with you.

My name is Bonnie and I graduated from Sydney University in 2013 completing a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Physiotherapy. Since then, I have been committed to improving my knowledge and skills, as well as keeping up to date with the latest evidence-based practice. I have always had a strong interest in treating neck and back pain, particularly persistent pain, but over the years have

developed a keen interest in Women’s Health. I love treating women all the way through their journey from pre-pregnancy to postpartum recovery and beyond. I believe that Women’s Health is an area of health that needs more awareness in the community, and I am committed to spreading the word of how important it is for women to be able to have access to quality healthcare in this area. I hope to create a warm and friendly environment where you feel comfortable to discuss all your concerns and aim to provide an excellent service to achieve your goals. I will provide a variety of services to achieve this including manual therapy skills, pre-natal and post-natal checks, individualised exercise programs, supervised Clinical Pilates sessions (both matwork and equipment), real time ultrasound assessments and more.

At Hills Women’s Health Physio & Pilates, we’re grateful to be part of a supportive community of women who encourage one another every day. We love seeing friendships formed in our Pilates classes and within our clinic, where women connect, share experiences, and cheer each other on.

Friendly reminder 🤍 Have you done your pelvic floor exercises today?
It’s easy to forget when life gets busy, but these small, simple movements make a big difference to your long-term pelvic health!
Try linking them to something you already do daily like waiting for the kettle to boil, brushing your teeth or feeding the baby.
A few minutes a day adds up!

Your sleeping position could be the reason 😴
•Back sleepers: Use a pillow that supports the natural curve of your neck.
•Side sleepers: Keep your nose in line with the centre of your chest (not dropping down or tilting up).
•Try to avoid stomach sleeping. It puts your neck in a rotated position for hours.
If you’re waking with neck stiffness or headaches, it might be your sleep setup rather than just your pillow.
Make a time to see one of our physios and we can help assess your posture, pillow height and give exercises to reduce tension and improve neck mobility.

Don’t skip your warm-up this winter!
Cold muscles are tighter, less flexible, and more prone to injury.
That quick jog onto the field without preparing your body can increase your risk of strains, sprains and tears.
A proper warm-up helps to increase blood flow to muscles, activates the key muscle groups and improves your flexibility & mobility to reduce your injury risk.

World Continence Week is this week and we’re helping to shine a light on incontinence in Australia.
Incontinence is the involuntary loss of bladder and/or bowel control.
Did you know 1 in 4 people in Australia experience incontinence? And 71% of those are younger than 65?
The good news is, incontinence is a common condition and with the right help it can be better managed, treated and sometimes even cured!
