Your body will undergo several changes during these nine months; most importantly, your baby is growing and developing day to day, thus also needs the appropriate nutrition every step of the way.

I will support you, your baby and your partner during this time up to and during labour and birth. A few months before your due date, the calmbirth® program will help you and your partner understand the birthing process and work together as a team.

BURNOUT

Burnout, or HPA axis dysfunction (HPA-D) as it is officially known, is an overstimulation of the adrenal glands from chronic stress that may, over time, lead to varying levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) in the bloodstream.

Additionally, people with adrenal fatigue often don't have enough DHEA, the "parent hormone" responsible for creating many necessary hormones in the body.

Other aspects of modern life could be causing adrenal fatigue, including;
👉🏻 Poor diet
👉🏻 Sleep deprivation
👉🏻 Chronic stress
👉🏻 Stressful events in life, such as divorce or death
👉🏻 Emotional trauma

Symptoms may include;
👉🏻 Chronic fatigue
👉🏻 Disrupted sleep
👉🏻 Reduced exercise tolerance and recovery
👉🏻 Low libido
👉🏻 Brain fog
👉🏻 Hair loss
👉🏻 Weight gain
👉🏻 Insulin resistance
👉🏻 Weakened immune function
👉🏻 Decreased stress tolerance
👉🏻 Depression
👉🏻 Muscle or bone loss
👉🏻 Moodiness and irritability

Burnout affects nearly every cell and tissue in the body and can significantly affect your overall health.

⭐️ We can improve this common issue naturally by focusing on your nutrient intake, lifestyle choices and some adaptogenic herbs.

Nourish your brain and body!
Boost antioxidant and help reduce inflammation.

The splendid golden rhizome of Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has been used as a herb and spice for thousands of years. Valued as a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, many of its actions are attributed to the yellow pigment, curcumin.[1]

Nourish your brain this summer with a cooling Turmeric mango lassi – sweet with a spicy twist! Turmeric may help protect the ageing brain due to its ability to suppress neuroinflammation[2], supporting mood and cognitive function[3,4]

Turmeric Mango Lassi
Serves 2

Ingredients
1½-2 cups of mango flesh (fresh or frozen)
1½ cups of natural yoghurt or coconut yoghurt (dairy free option)
1 tsp ground or 2 tsp fresh turmeric
½ tsp ground or 1 tsp fresh ginger
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cardamon
1 pinch of black pepper
1 tsp natural honey (optional)
4-5 ice cubes

Method
Add ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and frothy.
Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a sprinkle of turmeric and fresh mint leaves. Enjoy!
