Being a solo business owner with ADHD is fun… said no one ever. 😂
I currently have approximately 23 projects on the go, 107 ideas floating around in my head and about 4 of them anywhere near completion.
My brain comes up with a GREAT idea, gets ridiculously excited, starts planning, researching, creating… and then BAM! 💥
Another great idea.
And off we go again.
Sometimes I genuinely wonder how I managed to open an actual massage studio. Like, a real, functioning business with walls and furniture and paying clients!
And let's not forget I somehow managed to write and self-publish an entire book!
But here's the thing…
Just because something goes quiet doesn't mean I've given up on it.
It doesn't mean I've lost interest, that it wasn't important or that I couldn't manage it.
It usually just means my brain has temporarily moved it to another tab.
And trust me, there are A LOT of tabs open. 🧠
Right now, behind the scenes, I'm juggling:
✨ Moreton Bay Wellness Passport – So much potential, but honestly, this could be a full-time job on its own!
✨ Essentially You – My book and the next chapter of bringing it to life.
✨ The Rest Effect Self-Care Journal – Something I've poured so much of myself into.
✨ A secret squirrel project – No name yet, but I'm ridiculously excited about it! 🐿️
✨ The Rest Effect Podcast – Because apparently I needed another creative outlet. 😂
All while running Rest Massage Studio, massaging four days a week, doing the marketing, admin, washing approximately 674 billion towels, and trying to be a present mum, girlfriend and occasionally a functioning adult.
The funny thing is, I genuinely love ALL of these projects.
I don't lack passion. I certainly don't lack ideas.
What I sometimes lack is the ability to finish one thing before getting excited about the next.
And I'm learning to work with that rather than constantly feeling frustrated by it.
So if you see me excitedly announce something, start sharing bits and pieces and then suddenly go quiet…
Please don't mistake my silence for giving up.
I'm still here. Still creating. Still dreaming. Still working on it.
I'm probably just doing 17 other things.
